Before buying the 'vette, the Mercedes C class sedan was fund to drive, safe, wonderfully appointed with a back seat that should fit that car seat just fine.

No longer needing a back seat was one of the factors that moved me into the two-seater stratosphere. If I need space for extra passengers now, I'll drive my wife's Ford Explorer. It's one of the most practical vehicles on the planet.

It's a nice car, a little heavy, but great looking and very safe.

I don't know about the Camaro, but I do know about the Mustang. I suggest you look elsewhere as the back seat in the Stang is extremely hard to get into, and trying to hook the young one up will get old quickly. They are great cars, and the wife loves her's. But, the back seat is just there for looks in ours.

Plus, the seat backs on the front seat have no memory. The backs will need to be readjusted to your favorite angle every time you unlatch it to fold it forward. And that's quite aggravating.

Good luck on you search.

In August 2016, I picked up the new 2017 Lincoln MKZ for my daily driver / bad weather car. The car is sleek and has a ton of technological options. There is a 400hp engine option as well. You can pick up a new one with your budget and not have to fuss with used car gremlins.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I went ahead and test drove a 650i today. I fell in love with the car. The car is really awesome and the equipment is just unbeatable. I now understand why it's original price tag was over 100k. The only thing I didn't like about it was the turbo lag from a stand still. When those turbos kick in though it's actually pretty quick.

As much as I loved the car and will probably end up owning one eventually it's no corvette. I'm just a corvette guy there's no two ways about it. I've owned 3 corvettes over the past 12 years., and if it were feasible I would continue that trend. I can't however and So far this is the only car I could see myself in that isn't a corvette.

Im going to probably drag this process along until absolutely necessary and hang on to the vette for as long as I can.

600 bank fee. No money down 36 month lease under 200 a month.

Get a low mileage lease and keep the corvette.

They have the best lease deals in the tri state area and are a quality outfit and deliver right to our door.
Just go to website www.legendleasing.com

Just stay with the equipment in printed lease offering on the website per vehicle.

Just pick the color..

I have considered leasing a second car however between my car payment and my wife's our budget (car wise) is spent. If I get into a 650i my car payment won't change... I have a good amount of equity in the vette and the difference between my 14 stingray and a 14 650i isn't much $$ at all!

I daily a Focus RS, it's a lot of fun. 6 speed, 350hp, AWD with a back seat and four doors. I'm happy.

I'd forgotten about the Focus RS and ATS-V, both great choices.

Keep the Vette and buy a Toyota Camry. They're cheap and roomy with great gas mileage and crash and safety ratings

There is not enough space for most child car seats in the back of Camaro or Mustang, I would say. You really want something with four doors when you're putting a kid in a car seat. (Voice of experience and especially the voice of my wife's experience.)

I would suggest keep the C7 and get a minivan or crossover as your second car. (Minivans get a bad rap as representing the end of carefree young adulthood, but if you've had a kid you've changed your life already. Minivans drive OK, are quite comfortable, and the big plus of them is that you don't have to "pack." There is so much space that you can just toss stuff in and not worry about it.)

The suggestion of an X5 or other crossover is a good one, also, but unless you get into a Suburban-sized SUV you won't have the luxury of all the space you might need.

If you don't have room in your life for the C7 and a kid friendly car, just let it go for a while and come back to C8 or C9 when the kid is older.

Fwiw I bought my corvette and I was one of the first people in the United States to get the governement approved front passenger air bag cut off so I could take my then infant son in my corvettes front seat.

I didn't give my better half an option and she was just glad to have me take my son Sunday mornings in my corvette and cruise up and around bear mountain and the seven lakes...

That said i look at the BMW six series four door coupe and it's a cool ride.

Sharp looking car and I'm sure it's great. My personal trainer has a convertible M6... and although she tells me her maintaince costs...and they are screaming compared to what our corvette bills are...if you like the vehicle and it fits your needs...then go for it...

That website I posted does have the BMW 640i awd four door coupe for 950 bank fee and 800 a month for 36 months and your covered under warranty..

http://legendleasing.com/product/201...divDescription

I prefer leasing German cars...as out of warranty they can get costly...

If your still preferring buying I would ask the question or rather just search bimmerfest on BMW 6 series ...

Dam good looking car...I'd probably look for the M6 I'd I were buying preowned...

I tend to shop once in awhile and look at one of my suggested apps called BRZO

It searches the entire country for one single type of vehicle in each entry...i.e. it will give you the craiglist asking price of each entry BMW 6 series grand coupe listed for sale on craiglst and if you decide to finance the car yourself...you could save a bundle on purchase price...or at least know what the asking prices are for the vehicle your looking for..

You ll see how much profit the dealers are making with CPo vehicles..and decide if you want to pay the extra amount..

You can narrow the search to any city or any state listed in Craigslist for your search as well.

I like the wider search of the entire country first and then create a second or third search to closer proximity..

Go test drive them...see if you like it...

My cousin whose my age close to sixty has a 650 and she likes it...no problems but Shen also has a Mercedes sl500 and a five series sedan...

This 6 series is no where near as horrible in maintance as her past Porsche 928 that she couldn't get rid of fast enough...if you get my drift...

I personally would look at the Mercedes CLS AMG sedan....I think they are less expensive and that AMG engine is more impressive than the BMW power plant...but it is closer to the cts v...

I'd also look at the Jaguar XF and XJ supercharged v8....it's a nice car and jaguar depreciate like a stone,,

What you'd save in cost to purchase would pay for either a warranty or a lot of possible repairs..

Jaguars really make women crazy wet...

They are great preowned luxury cars to buy...

DEPRECIATE LIKE A STONE. THEY LOOK STUNNING...THE SUPERCHARGED V8 s are awesome

I'm going with my deposit down on the tesla model 3 . The release should be June 2nd...if your interested....I'm thinking 55 grand after tax incentives..for awd performance and autonomous mode...the car could drive you to work in the morning...zero to sixty could be with performance mode be in the 3 s....and the vehicle looks like a four door Aston Martin.

Or if you want...pick up a tesla model S P90d the larger awd tesla that tears off zero to sixty 3 seconds,,,and there are super chargers all over the place....and with the model S supercharging is free...

No gas bills.

I'd recommend going over to a tesla dealer and test driving for an hour the model S with insane or ludicrious mode...and autonomous mode and then test drive the BMW...and the xjr

You ll now what to buy...

My neighbor has the Maserati grand sport with four seats...and those depreciated like a stone too...

Seriously one of the prettiest cars out there...and if your in Brooklyn...you ll get awesome service...

My family had been involved with Italian cars since the 1960s and our mechanics were all in Brooklyn..if your still living in the surrounding areas...you should be able to find an independent car shop...

Buying the 650i I also recommend finding a good independent shop as the labor costs at the German car dealers is brutal...

Have fun...and it's been fun shooting the breeze about your four seater hunt...

An older Mercedes 493 HP CL IS IN THE TEN to 20 GRAND RANGE and that
Was 130 grand when new..most are low miles ..just watch the air suspension but replacement cost to put regular suspension wasn't that expensive considering the selling prices of under 50 k mile versions...and the rearward seats are huge...

Nobody wants the CL55 so depreciation is huge,,,

I'd throw 15 grand at one and have a few laughs....change the pulley and the hp is insane...

Luxury, space and speed at an amazing low price.

I prefer the round front headlight versions..

Congrats on your son...

CPO - Audi A6.

If I were to get back into a 4 door performance oriented sedan it would be the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio without question but that is more than you are looking to spend

Be careful of BMW's outside of warranty. I've owned a ton of BMW's (M3, M4, M5, X5, 335 et al) and they are costly outside of warranty.

As a prior used BMW owner I would tell you that unless you get a CPO car, watch out for used BMW's. They cost a lot to maintain and the reason they depreciate so much is due to people keeping them 3-5 years max because of long term maintenance costs.

Look into the Golf R w DSG. Perfect for a family, AWD, really nice interior and same platform and engine as the Audi S3. The DSG is very quick.

If it were me, I would be in the Cadillac ATS-V. The cars are fantastic performers for their segment and give all the creature comforts you could want.

MSRP from $63,890
Feature highlights of the ATS-V Coupe trim:
ATS-V Features include:
3.6L Twin-Turbo Engine with 464-hp and 445 lb-ft of torque
Choice of a lightning-fast 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission
Active Rev Matching and No-Lift Shift (manual transmission)
Launch Control
Performance Traction Management
Magnesium Paddle Shifters
Carbon fiber hood, available carbon fiber Aero Performance Package
Electronic Limited-Slip Differential
Michelin®Pilot® Super Sport summer-only tires2
ZF premium steering system
Available RECARO® performance seating
Available Performance Data Recorder
Available full-color Head-Up Display
Cadillac CUE® with available OnStar® 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi® hotspot3, Wireless Charging4 and available embedded navigation5
Bose® premium audio with Active Noise Cancellation and AudioPilot® sound enhancement technology.

Find a nice used one for much less $$ and you will have the manual transmission in a very sporty sedan. I test drove a friends and it was a fun car to drive. He loves his.
