Whats the status on the lowering bolt pads getting shredded over time and causing suspension noise. Has this issue been resolved over the course of time, now that the C7 is entering its 5th year of production?

Nice I just missed this. I paid retail for my aFe Power Stage 1. The O'Connell name saves some money.
If anyone is on the fence about these adjustable aFe sway bars...think this: the Z51 OEM front sway is 26mm, the rear 24mm. The aFe front is 35mm, while the rear is 32mm. These are some healthy and SOLID sway bars and you will feel it immediately. The car literally is on rails now. I'll be testing them on a road course, but first impressions: WOW! Adjustable based on the road/track conditions. I'm overwhelmed on how well the car handles now.

Generally considered a performance upgrade. If I was using my car as a Tourer, not sure I would consider this mod

Hi, Chip:
I have had the full Johnny O'Connell Stage 1 bars and shocks package on my 2018 C6 Z51 for over 6-7 years. I have found it to be an outstanding handling upgrade.
Now, my questions re C7 Grand Sport (which I am shopping for now): (1) What are the sway bar sizes of the JOC package compared to the stock Grand Sport sway bars; and (2) am I correct in assuming that this C7 package doesn't have replacement shocks (like my C6 package did) because it is not needed with the Grand Sport Magnetic Ride Control?

Been a fan of your car for a while (closet )
I can give you the SB dimension vs stock but really it has absolutely nothing to compare
SW are all about torque curves, different curves, STD, Off Set, metal composition, hollow/solid
are the determining factors.
All that and the numbers that they generate are, in large part, how the car is stressed.
In other words, the numbers you get from a off camber @ 30 MPH turn are different than you get
from a 60 MPH off camber turn because they are not linear.
What I can tell you, is that these cars are set up with a push from the factory (under controllable acceleration)
the front end gives up before the rear end does. This is done because about 99% of the general population
that buys these cars has absolutely no idea how to properly drive it / or it is generally much safer.
This set up changes the weight distribution to give you a much more neutral feel, which you understand
from your previously installed C6 Kit.
Skilled drivers will love the extra performance, neutrality, and less rollover
You are correct on the shocks...

Thanks, Chip. I understand that it is not just "diameter" or "thickness". I have greatly enjoyed the vastly improved handling in my C6 (now 11 years old, 125,000 miles, and my daily driver) due to the C6 JOC package (think I need new shocks at this point though...). When I pull the trigger on a new Grand Sport, I will definitely be looking at this upgrade!
