So there will be three C7.Rs at Le Mans? Two for Corvette racing and one for Labre competing against each other??

I think that same car ran in the WEC at COTA last fall too. It ran in the LMGTE amateur class.

LMGTE Am Lars VILJOEN, Pierre RAGUES, Ricky TAYLOR, Chevrolet Corvette C7-Z06

It definitely doesn't sound like the other cars.

My favorite exhaust note in the world. Love it. I wonder how different these are than the Corvette Daytona prototypes? The last time I checked they were LS9's with restrictor plates to keep the HP down. C7.R might be different.

Yes, but not really competing. Labre runs in GTE-AM. Last year there were actually 4 as another team ran one in GTE-AM as well, but this year just one in GTE-AM.

Labre was trying hard this year to get a second car to run one in Pro and one in AM, but GM didn't come through for them

It's the LS5.R, a 5.5 L V8.

I believe that's a 2015 C7R that was sold to Labre Competition

I don't know why GM doesn't put more cars in the hands of privateers to get more development time on the track.

There was also a spec Corvette racing class announced a while back but I haven't heard anything more about it.
