Default Streetspeed717's C7 Z06 pump gas HP numbers

Hello everyone, I've recently seen some discussion on here about one of our customers C7 Z06 Corvette's making some unbelievable HP numbers, well I figured I'd pop in here and let everyone know that it did put down those numbers and the mods that did it. Here's the list

2016 Corvette Z06 M7 with 13k on it
Katech CNC'd Heads, stock CC
Custom DFR Ground Cam
Fasterproms 2.31 pulley
9.1" Lower (14.1 PSI on the dyno and street pulls
Fasterproms Ported Stock Blower, Snout and TB
Thermal Reduction Plates
Fasterproms Custom Supercharger Heat Exchanger Tank
Halltech CAI without the bumper cut mod
Kooks 2" LT Headers with Off Road Pipes and stock mufflers
HPTuners Tuning

The car did put down 770rwhp/799rwtq on a dynojet outside in 89 degree heat with IAT2's at 85 degrees on each pull. These pulls were done on PUMP GAS ONLY, No Meth, No E85.

Here are both YouTube Vids, mine was with smoothing 3 instead of smoothing 5 just so everyone knows.

Streetspeed717's Vid

Car will be going to the track to see what times it pulls soon.

What octane was the pump gas? Also- if someone dropped off a stock Z06 what would the cost be for all these mods including labor?

There are lots and lots of C7 mod vids on StreetSpeed717's youtube channel. Other than the language, it's a really good channel. (F*** is just another word to those in their 20s.)

Andy, is Mike on this forum? It doesn't look like it.

I guess it could be a good runway car. Other than that, you guys have completely ruined a zo6. I wish someone would explain to these rednecks that a racetrack is not a 1/4 mile strip. Complete waste of engineering to use a vette for this. Buy something with a solid rear axle. Tub it. 2 speed powerglide etc.

But don't bother going to a real race track now. You guys have completely ruined the driving dynamics I am sure. Love hearing streetspeed717 say he needs a new car when he has no idea how to drive the one he's got.

Next time he gets a new car, tell him to spend money on the nut behind the wheel

I think he takes the car to the drag strip and not the track. I suspect 90%+ of Z06 owners never take their car to the track.

I don't love what he has done to the car either (the lanmbo doors were one step too far along with the wrap that I thought was a short term thing).

But you also have to understand Youtube. He is getting massive views and making a lot of money doing these mods and getting people to click.

In the end he probably is making more money off Youtube than most people here (I suspect he clears $40-60K on a given month). These "rednecks" are doing something right. I bet he pays cash for that ZR1 just from Youtube money.

Am I fan? No, just a hater I guess.

I ran into his videos when I was shopping for my vette in 2015. They were almost kinda useful back then. I believe it was before he got his hellcat.

Personally, I think he is a self righteous douche that loves to hear himself talk. However, I have no where near the drive that kid has. Click bait or not, those videos get a lot of views.

Woah woah woah. I know this kid is making an assload of money on YouTube. But 60k a month? You think this kid is clearing over a half mil a year? Uuummm... he probably wouldn't live where he does or drive what he does. Seems high, but what do I know?

Just to be clear. My post about his drive, work ethic, creativity, came before I read your post

Seem a little more than high on the numbers. But for sure the track will tell the true story on the car. Post those numbers lets see what the car does.

"you guys have completely ruined a zo6"

doesn't matter to them, they make money from people watching their youtube vids. I think they avg about 20-30K a month off dumb dumbs watching them.

"mucho" click bait...

to be fair, they did find a way to make stupid money for just shooting vids!

I also have endless respect for the people doing the actual wrenching. I used to modify ls1's. Did the machine work and built a Pontiac 400 as well.

He showed in one of his videos the money he gets from Youtube... more like averaging 18k/mo. Still not chump change. I quit watching his videos when a headline said, "I'm quitting YouTube" and the content never had a mention of that. Pure click bait to sucker people to watch.
