Default PDR Question

Greetings!

I just took my '16 C7 Stingray Z51 out for it's first day on the track this year at Grattan Raceway. Had a great time, but had an issue with the PDR. I had set the overlay to Track. I set the PDR to record and marked the start/finish line. The following screen said that it would use that line to set the lap times. The next screen had two buttons showing at the bottom, one for stop recording and the other to set the start/finish line (I had done that).

At the end of my session on the track, I stopped the recording and then went to watch it. There was no lap timing & no map of the track with the position on it.

Every session I had on the track had the same issues with marking the start/finish line and no map etc on the recording.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a software problem just needing a reboot, or could the be related to the yearly update of the Navigation - a way to force us to pay the ridiculous price for the update?

I thank you in advance for any info you can provide on this.

What size memory card do you have? How did you format your card?

When I had my 15 PDR software updated last September I had that issue at the next track event I went to. I think it is some sort of software bug. With the car's original PDR software I could hit the mark S/F button as I exited pit lane and it would record my lap times from that point. After the update I started getting that same double marking thing you saw and I found I had to push the button while I was on track since the software must have changed reduced the width of the aperture used to mark S/F.

I don't think the card is the problem as it is the same card I have used since the beginning with several sessions on it from 2016 events that all worked just fine. It is a 32 gig card and still has over 500 min of recording time left on it.

I did try setting the S/F line on the track and off the track and it made no difference. Your post did make me check my service records and I found they did do a recall update on the PDR since my last previous track event. Looks like I'l be calling the dealer to have this fixed.

Thanks

Are you using the car to view the lap, or your desktop computer?? Make sure your desktop has the Cosworth Toolbox and watch it there. You will see everything you can think of and more.

I was using the car while I was at the track. I have used the Cosworth, but I have not checked my latest track recordings yet. Being that the S/F line is not marked on the recordings and it doesn't even show the map of the track, I'm pretty sure the data using CT will be limited as well.
