When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
It depends too on where the photo is. If it is already on a public website, you can use the yellow icon that was mentioned to insert the URL for the photo and it will embed it in the post. Otherwise you have to upload a picture from your computer and that needs to be done from the Advanced posting option where you can choose the Manage Attachments button.
All different if you're using the mobile app.
There is a forum for help as well, and there are instructions there. This is the help forum link, take a look at the sticky posts.
When you click on the photo icon on the tool bar, a gray box appears.
My photos are on my computer, so I just open Win. Explorer, find the photo, and simply drag and drop it into the gray box.
The gray box looks like this... You do have to click on INSERT box at the top....

Looks like it works!!! It will be the first photo I have posted here in over 16 years. So simple.
Now you will find that pic is stored automatically in your "Album" on the Forum (with words you used when posting, if any.) If you want to use it again from whatever device you are on, like in my case an iPad or phone that does not have that photo, you just click on Album for source (see post #5.) I have many (too many) so just scroll through though and select!

Hmm, read my 3 year old post directly above yours! I no longer use albums stored on the forum! For my part time internet business (I've been retired 20 years) I am often on my Desktop or in the evening my Laptop. Since I now have ~50, mostly picture PDF's of "How To's for DYIers" those files (on both computers) have most of my pics. I keep in files by subject and include some other subjects like DCT, as well. It's much easier to just go to one of the files and select and appropriate pic.
