Hey guys just looking for some opinions. I'm looking at a 2015 Z51 3LT. They are asking 56,900 for it. 8300 Miles. Manual transmission. Thanks John
Just for reference, I picked up a a 2016 Z51 3LT Convertible with 6,800 miles for 54,800 back in March. All key options included such as MSRC, Colored calipers, red stitching, 7M. Most every check box was checked.
Keep in mind the people who bough back in previous months are not paying the "Corvette summer time" car tax. It is definitely too high, but I doubt you will find a 3LT Z51 with low miles for less than $52K right now. This car likely stickered for $74-76K depending on other options. Let's say $74K. If you can get the car for $52K you would be paying roughly 30% under MSRP which seems reasonable if the car is in great condition. I would not pay more than that though. With the 2018's getting built this month, the 2015 is three model years old now.

Buy a BRAND NEW 1LT GS at Kerbeck for that. I just did last Saturday.
I was looking at the same cars you probably are. Buy a 1LT Z51 brand new for 51k. Used I wouldn't pay anymore than low 40's for those cars knowing what I know now.
If 3LT is meaningful for some reason then a new one will cost you more but not enough to make the used car make sense IMO.
Just bought a 2014 3LT Z51/Mag Ride A6 Laguna Blue/Lt Gray interior, carbon fiber dash, Transparent roof Coupe with 6500 miles from one senior owner in mint condition for $ 46,200, 3 months ago. Wanted the A6 tranny as that has not had the well known issues of the A8 tranny.
After putting a couple thousand miles on my new daily driver Stingray, I wouldn't consider anything but a 3LT/3LZ with the carbon fiber dash and a multi-color interor if buying a Stingray/GS or Z06. The color contrast and beautiful leather along with the carbon fiber dash, really add a quantum leap up in ambiance that one gets to enjoy every time you drive it.
Since the OP is in the used market, if the budget will allow, do yourself a favor and get a car with a 3LT interior, for not much more than a 2LT. They are out there in well cared for condition and it's the interior all the vette junkies have been whining about for years, that is finally available.

OP, An important factor on a 2015 is the B2B warranty is about to run out. To extend it you'll have to add somewhere around $1500 to $2000. After adding that to the $56,900, now you can compare it to a new C7 that has the full warranty.
My 2016 Z51-2LT with a 70K msrp was heavily discounted (purchased in December 2016) for considerably less than the asking price of the used 15 you're looking at.
Folks, you can't compare 1LT or 2LT prices directly to 3LT. You also can't compare prices from December through April to June through August.
Of course you will find better deals in the dead of winter on sports cars. And you will definitely find cheaper prices if you look for cheaper trim levels.
That's why I bought mine in February. But if I were to try to get the same deal now (I paid $47,800 for a 2016 Z51 1LT w/NAV/PDR/MSRC and some other upgrades). I would be lucky to get that same deal now for $50-52K.

That's a good point to consider. Although I did find a great car pretty much exactly like I would have ordered ( might have made a slight change to red or yellow calipers), the 3yr/36000 mile GM bumper to bumper warranty had about 2 months to run before it expired, so I still had time to buy a GMEPP service contract (basically an excellent extended warranty) from Dennis Fictner( a well known forum vendor) for $1275 that is a 5yr/60000 mile plan with no deductible that is a direct bill plan at any Chevy dealer nationwide( he had a special running at the time that was a $200 discount).

Yes that's the way to go. If you do the $100 deductible it is even cheaper. I am going to wait to purchase mine once the 3 year warranty is about to run out.
Do you like the car? I probably overpaid by 2k for my '14 z51 3lt m7 msrc car. White on red but love it every time I drive it. Paid just under 51k for it 3 weeks ago and it had just a hair under 13k miles. Got tired of searching for all these deals everyone talks about - looked for almost 6 months. They aren't common. Ask anyone who says what they should be selling at if they'd sell theirs. Probably should have bought a '16 while they were having fire sales but didn't. Enjoying the drive now though.
