Hello guys.
So as of yesterday my infotainment screen is pitch black. The screen goes up and down but the radio doesn't work, no audio, nav, nothing..
I am wanting to self diagnose the problem myself but am having a hard time finding which fuse relates to the infotainment screen?
I do not have a warranty and I want to know everything I can do to try and get the screen to work. If I have to replace the screen then so be it, but I would rather save the $100 diagnosis fee instead of having that stack up on top of the price of a new screen.

See my post on the dreaded black infotainment screen. Your symptoms sound just like mine. It was the HMIM, human machine interface module. It is up behind the driver's side kick panel. It goes bad and you lose your screen and everything that interfaces with it. Warranty covered mine. The retail on the HMIM is approximately $750. It is VIN specific, so it has to be programmed by the dealer.
So I checked all the fuses... Nothing.
Took apart the center console to make sure all wires and connections are good... still nothing.
Unplugged HMI module and plugged everything back in... Nothing.
Now I'm left with no choice but to take it in to my dealer for them to diagnose.
Service bulletin issued for software update
Service bulletin issued for loose wire connection under the screen
Possible replacement of the HMIM
Only the loose wire connection is something you could possibly fix. Search the forums here, there's tons of threads about black screens and flickering screens like an old tv set.
Had the dealership replace my screen at their recommendation because my screen would black out and reboot the HMI. The screen replacement didn't fix the problem. I'm calling Monday and asking about a full HMIM replacement.

Try honking the horn, works for me. Sometimes turning on the AC. I heard another person kicked the quarter panel in the foot well (driver side I believe). Lot's of issues with this. Mine still flickers and goes in and out - waiting for a total failure before I go to the dealer.
Having the exact same issue on a car I just put money down on. The dealer is going to repair it before I officially take delivery. I will update what was done to correct as soon as I get the car back.
Don't even consider trying to do any of this, without the service manual, and the correct wiring schematics. Not so much because you will damage anything, although that's possible, but because your chances of actually successfully diagnosing the problem correctly are basically the same as random guessing.
What's up fellas...Have a '16 Z06...took it to a car show a few nights ago, radio/screen fine; started it up to return home, black screen/no radio or back up camera function. Have extended warranty, so made immediate appointment (next Friday). Just went out this morning and started it up, radio working now ?!?! Is this a sign that the HMI module starting to go bad, possibly affected after it heats up, or a software update issue ?!?! Can anyone advise of any updated info b4 getting it to the dealer later this coming week...Thanks !

My screen went black on my 18 Stingray, however the radio and the touch screen still worked. Prior to the total blackout my screen would black out intermittently. One day it would work the next it would be out. Then it went out one day and never came back. During the blackout times I could actually touch the screen in different places and the functions still worked. I took it to the dealer and the Corvette tech said it was either the screen itself, the module or the cable connecting the screen to the module. He stated his experience was that it was usually the screen. So that was where they started. They ordered a new screen and it came in the next day. They installed the screen under warranty and that fixed the problem.
