I've had my Z51 for almost a year, but this was first full day trip. We made a round trip run from our home In Huntsville, Tx to Corpus Christi and back. 665 miles including several stops, lunch, run in with Navy security(my fault), getting lost once, lol.
I was on hi way that went straight to gate of base, got inside the barricades no choice but to go to gate. Guard real nice, liked car, but! I guess we're in a higher state of awareness with the state of things. I got ran through the system with an armed guard standing behind the car, yikes. Anyway all went well and sent us on our way.
Car did great, I wasn't sure if this old man could handle being in it but did fine! Really enjoyed the car.
Some photos of our day.

Some great pictures and sounds like a fun experience. I have not had a long trip in my car but the seats in this car are so comfortable, I need to find an excuse for a day trip.

I agree - the C7 is an amazingly comfortable touring car. I picked up my Z in San Diego in December and drove it back to the Seattle area with several side-trips - 1,800 miles over four days. A couple were long driving days since I was also acting the tourist and I never really felt fatigue; comfortable seats, even after 8+ hours of driving.
Hopefully my wife will feel the same way - after I'm done with Spring Mountain in roughly 3 weeks, I pick her up at the Vegas airport and then we're going to tour up the California/Oregon coast and back to Seattle.
