I also have the same problem, dealer flushed mine about a month ago and the problem is just as bad as before. They do say to put a few hundred miles on the car after the fluid change to see if the problem is resolved. GM will release a new procedure to fix the problem early next year so I guess I just wait until then and see what they say. No one is 100% sure what the new procedure will be but my money is on a new style torque convertor, time will tell.........

Same here, Flush at 4,500 miles... its been 200 miles everything seems to be fine. Was told the wrong flued was used originally, Ate away at some components. New flued has new properties in it... Was told
if problem doesn't go away it requires a torque converter replacement… Rick Conti has a video on the subject. One other thing, if you encounter the shudder problem place it in manual mode it will go away. For some reason the shudder doesn't do it in manual mode. FYI

2019 GS A8 issue
1500 miles on brand new 2LT Grand Sport, yesterday transmission starts slipping and headed for home. A quarter mile from home started dumping fluid and limped into garage and dumped rest of fluid. Dealer says they have never heard of that happening and will check it in two weeks..first available appointment. I've been reading about A8 issues but haven't read about this. Has anyone else heard about this type of problem?

I track mine extensively, with some highway driving. I haven't experienced this shuttering and would like more details. <> Is the shuttering for a short duration or does it hold on for an extended period? Is the TSB only a software flash? I've read where tranny fluid has been changed and that seemed to resolve it. With a little over 10K miles half are hard miles when does this problem rear it's head? Could the problem be created by babying the car too much and driving way to easy? Driving it easy the trans will learn your driving habits.

A little follow up on my situation. It took two days but they have replaced the torque converter, flushed the transmission and even flushed the transmission cooler. The problem is certainly gone and everything is running as new. They told me to put 200 miles on it and by that time it should have relearned my driving habits. Will post an update if anything further develops. Glad to have it back and hoping for some driving time this weekend. And lastly want to give a round of applause to Cory and the mechanics at Jack Schmitt Chevrolet in O'Fallon Illinois for doing such a great job!

When I talked to my selling dealer (bought my 2016 Z51 with 19K miles last January) they acted dumb at first-didn’t acknowledge there was a problem until I mentioned I had read about it on this Forum. Service writer next to the guy I was talking to then talked to me about the procedure - first flush, then convertor if necessary.
Ended up having the flush done at dealer 3 miles from the house. They were up front right away, explained the procedure, and so far have not had any shudder/vibration since it was done 4 months ago.
Dont have the Range device (yet) and a little concerned you are having the problem even with the Range in yours.

I now have a C7, it took me a while to warm up to the looks of the C7 and the C7 will likely be my last corvette of 50 years of owning and driving them. The C8 is going to cost more than I'm willing to pay at $170K. So I got a 2019 Stingray and
I am very happy with it. However, I have a questions and that is, I don't see 2018 and or 2019's on the list. I'm sure 2019 is too new but still no 2018's. Am I missing something like, the transmissions have been changed out to a different design after 2017?

I'm considering this same fix. If I even wanna get another Corvette, that part of it is up in the air. I'm not a corvette afficianato as some of the folks here are.

The C8 is NOT going to start at 170k. There MAY be a model at that range, the 1000hp hybrid ZR1 or what ever its called but there will be a slew of models WELL below that. C8 will go up a bit from C7 but not up 100k. There are simply not enough 170k car customers to purchase the build capacity of the Bowling Green plant. Likely not 10% of capacity.
No, the new C8 will cover the same breadth of customer base as the current car does. Enjoy your last of an old model line car. Many are looking forward to the new one. I will likely purchase my C8 for less than I spent for my C7.

What makes you think GM will have all the bugs ironed out with a mid engine? They have had five years to come up with a fix for the A-8 and have fallen flat on their faces. Still, no solutions. . Poor Engineering will simply repeat its mistakes.

That is true - my 9 months old C7 will get on thursday a new TT and there are some more mistakes.
But - to develop a mid engine V 8 car is a very expensive way, 170K is not so far from reality.
jcthorne´s price will be in my opinion max for 4Zyl. - girls engine model

Got my 2015 (27,000 miles) back from the dealer shop today. Flush, new wire harnes and sensor replacement. Seems to run much better. Will have re=evaluation in 200 miles. Fingers crossed. Covered under warranty.

LOL! I will enjoy this C7 for years to come and may add a C8 to the garage. Seems I can't get a picture to take for my logo picture or you see that one is never too much of a good thing. Cheers.
