Today my Infotainment Screen just went black on start up. I drove 20 some miles stoped. One hour later started up still black then the screen had an unusual screen, in the picture. Parked for about four hours started up and everything was backing just fine? Any ideas?
I've had the Infotainment screen in my car go black on two occasions. Both times, it was off for about 15 seconds and then came back as if someone had rebooted it. Took a while for GPS to resync and for my media to start playing again (USB in the cubby). It's on the list for the dealer to look at when I go in for my next oil change.

This is happening to me as well now on my 17 Z06. I was also playing music through USB both times it happened. Any resolution yet? Unless the issue gets worse, I will likely wait for my next oil change as well.

For me, both occurrences happened when I was using the Nav system. I use a USB for music pretty much at all times, so, at least for me, it doesn't seem to be related.
Well, if we take the screen at face value, it's trying to update your entertainment system (upgrade to a newer version). It appears they're using a version of Linux to power the entertainment system and updates occur through a USB device. It may be that the process for updating the version got confused and thought that your USB device had an update on it when it didn't. Hence "waiting for update media" and "copying 0/100". I wouldn't expect a dealer to be able to fix this. It's most likely a defect in the software that runs the entertainment system. A fix would need to come from GM. Certainly should be reported to GM (via your dealer).
