2014 RKE key problem
Need some help. I went to replace the battery in my 2014 Corvette RKE key. In doing so when I opened the case the small button that you push to pull out the key came out. When I put it back together the key would not lock in to the case. It appears that there may be a small spring that pushes against the button to hold it in place and hold the key in. I couldn't find anything that came out but it may have flown out and I didn't see it and can't find it. Does anyone know if there is a spring? I called my Chevy dealer and they said that you can't get parts for the RKE. If that's the case and I lost the spring if I could find a new case I could transfer the transmitter and key from mine to a new case, but so far I haven't been able to find just a new cast. Any suggestions?

Solved my problem. Swept the floor twice and the second time I found the little spring. So if any of you have to change the battery in the RKE key be careful. That little spring can come out fairly easily. Getting the key fob apart takes a little bit of effort and when it comes apart, parts can go flying. Just a word to the wise.
