Subwoofer???
Soooo where is the subwoofer?
Diving into a DIY speaker/amp upgrade. Always figured there was a subwoofer tucked behind the rear panel or under the carpet but as far as I see there is not one??
Am i missing something because i can not find one in the back..

What trim do you have? Not all trims have the subwoofer.

You can add an aftermarket subwoofer and amplifier to the 1LT, but you have to disconnect the noise canceling mics that are in the doors, because the subwoofer will not work correctly. Ask me how I know......
You can either pull the door panel and disconnect one of the mics or go to the amplifier in the back and disconnect them from the amplifier. If you go to the amplifier you will need the wiring schematics to know which wire to pull. I have them, if you go that way.

I am going by the AllData info on the wiring. However they are from a 2014 schematic but they seem to still match up. I'm going to use the outputs from the amp and run them into an LC8 controller then out to a JL Audio 8x100.
Are they 10" in the doors? I have the interior taken out, except the doors. I tried to measure from the outside and thought they were 8".
Looks like im going back to the dealer Monday, they gave me 6.5".
What size are the other ones in the door?

I believe they are 10s in the door. Are u changing the speakers in the car? If so, the this comment is relates
to the OEM speakers. You should pull your signal from one of those 10 inch speakers, because they carried the largest base signal which will give u the best subwoofer base sound! Or so i
gave been told. My email is marinecid@aol.com, if u send me your email address before I go to bed, I will send u my write up, pics and schematics! I will be up for about 30 more mins!

All but the center channel will be pulled and ran through. The center will remain running directly from the amp still.
Does anybody know if a shallow sub will fit in the door?

A little off topic. Since you all the panel out already you should sound proof the entire area including the wheel wells.
