Another, yes ... another, June deals thread
With a slight difference, it may segue into July.
I am waiting for GEICO to finalize details of my totaled Z06. While waiting I've been deciding whether to replace it with an identically configured 2018, there are no 2017's, or wait for the ZR1. And to add to the mental confusion, while I mull over that decision I've been visiting the web sites of the larger Corvette dealers and on a forum sponsor's site I found a 2017 that I could live with at nicely discounted price that I think is fair.
Problem is, the discounted price is good only through this coming Friday; i.e., one must take delivery by then. There is no way in ... that GEICO will settle, the lien holder paid, and my credit reports reflect the reduction of debt by then.
The primary question is this, does anyone know if there were there GM discounts in June that expire on Friday, or could the discount reflected be from the dealer alone? If the latter, then I may be able to make it work. If the former, then c'est la vie.

Don't know for sure but I'd guess the former. There is some kind of incentive to the dealer but it's time sensitive and I'd guess no wiggle. I thought I saw a thread about that type of deal maybe a few weeks ago? Do a search; someone was explaining it and I think it was one of the forum dealers.

I did as you suggested and my findings do not bode well. From my reading of the posts, come Saturday morning, the price of that Z06 will go up.

My bet is that dealers and GM will still be pushing to off load 2017s in July.
I'd hang tough and see what comes out after 6/30.
I rolled the dice that the Loyalty incentive would survive but that ended at end of April and I took delivery of my GS in June.
No tears.
The drive home put a smile on my face
And, I had a few Irish whiskies , neat, to suppress the left over tears.

I would talk to the dealer directly and see what they can do for you.
I assume that GEICO is paying for a rental Vette until they settle. If not I would ask for a rental Vette which might hurry them up.

I've been thinking of that, but am holding off. I do not want to be "that guy" if our discussions go nowhere for a bit. Once I speak with GEICO and the lien holder, I may know enough to plan my next moves.

I would assume that since it was the other guys fault, his insurance company would pay for the rental, regardless of your coverage.
