I am having the windows tinted on my '17 GS tomorrow and I am torn on what exactly to do. I am for sure going with Llumar CTX on the rear and sides and Llumar Air 80 on the windshield.
My original plan was to put CTX 20 on the rear and small side windows and CTX 35 on the driver and passenger window. However, being OCD I like things to be consistent so now I am thinking the CTX 35 all around. I would love to see some pictures if you have something close to either one of these.

I used blackmax ceramic tint 20% on all windows. Didn't end up doing windshield since I can cool down the car in 30 seconds or less in the TX heat by just rolling down windows, getting the hot stale air out, and blasting the AC. Roll the windows up after 30 seconds, and I'm nice and cool.
Being in California I did 35 on the rear, 50 on the sides, 70 up front. I too was worried about back versus sides, almost did 35 all around. But honestly it's not that noticeable. I would be more worried if someone was doing the side triangle window different than the door window.
In Michigan it is technically illegal to have anything other the a 4" strip of tint along the top of the driver's and passenger's windows. It is an extremely out of date law and is not enforced for the most part. Most people I have talked to say if they get pulled over for something they just roll both windows all the way down. I know a guy at work that has 20% all around on his white VW Golf and he has never been hassled. On that white car it almost looks like limo tint. I wouldn't go that dark on Vette. Might be pushing my luck too much.

Current case in Detroit of a police commissioner (!) who had a police officer pull a gun when he supposedly didn't roll down his tinted windows. Most LEOs are great guys but there are enough who aren't that I wouldn't give them any excuse . . .
I had illegal tint, and did get a ticket. I removed it, which is was better I hated driving at night with the dark tint. I rolled Windows down their see better......
I plead not guilty to the tint. The Solicitor asked if I REALLY wanted to do that, because the judge would yell at me. I said, yup, he may yell at me for a minute, but you have a hundred more people to get thru, he's gonna be pissed at you all day. He got a good laugh at that and tossed it, I had already removed it anyway.
I wouldn't do it again, but it looks great. I just don't want Leo's stressed and I like to see at night.

You are not alone, I prefer it to be the same level all the way around as opposed to being a darker level on the back window. When I get my C7 I plan on going with 35 all around. That is dark enough to keep the interior cool and make a visual difference but not too dark as to get in trouble with the law.
