Bought it used exactly the way I wanted it, 2014, Cyber Gray with Kalahari interior purchased on the first business day of 2016. As I recall, there where three available within 300 miles from my house and another one with a gray interior in New Hampshire. The closest and the one in New Hampshire were priced way higher than the other two. Criswell had one that was certified, had the least amount of mileage (4200) and was priced almost as low as the one on a gravel lot. It was an easy decision. BTW, I too was coming off a C5 going to a used C7.
As for C7s, there are more white C7s than any other color. I believe the two most common interior colors with white are black and red. I've also seen light gray. You should have no problem finding what you want as long as you don't restrict yourself to cars close to home.

I factory-ordered my Stingray 2LT coupe the third week of December (2016) and picked it up February 1st of 2017. I got the color, wheels, trim and - best of all - the 7spd MANUAL transmission + performance exhaust.
To me, it was worth the wait -- but maybe I could have saved a few $$ by getting an in-stock unit. Hard to say.......but I did not want to have any regrets about getting options I did not want or NOT getting those that I had to have.
The C7 is a beautiful car and I am biased towards Torch Red - but none of the colors offered really look horrible. My first choice was Laguna Blue, but they quit offering it after 2016. The Admiral Blue is pretty, but just doesn't do it for me.
My 2014 Base 1LT in Night Race Blue with the black interior and NPP was a factory order timed to beat the 2/1/14 price increase and take delivery at the end of March 2014.
My 2018 Grand Sport 2LT in Watkins Gray with a black interior, PDR and pearl nickel rims was also a factory order submitted to make the first production week (6/5) - day 1 actually.
Both were done through MacMulkin, who has been just great to deal with on both orders.
I am patient enough and decisive enough to get exactly what I want when I prefer to have it.

I have owned 2 C7's and 10 other Corvettes. I bought a used 2014 Z51 3LT A6 VERT with 4500 miles on it in December 2014 and traded it in June 2017. I have bought new off a dealer lot used off a dealer lot and even had a dealer swap one out in the past. I have never ordered from the factory until this time my last Corvette for me a 2017 Z06 3LZ VERT A8. Built it exactly the way I wanted and picked it up last month and plan on keeping it for many years!

Was going to order a 17 Grand Sport at the beginning of the ordering period but found out Laguna Blue was not going to be available in 2017. So I did some internet looking and found a 16 Z51 that was exactly what I wanted.
And how many bought a used one with the exact color combination you wanted?
I have C5 and looked and bought exactly what I wanted, artic white with black interior! When the C7 first came out, my dealer had that same color combination and I was sold on it again.
Just curious how many owners are "unique".
Custom order here, mine is getting built in a little over a week!
I decided to custom order because I had pretty specific wants, and I felt like I shouldn't have to "settle" when buying a car in this price range. I also got a bit more than 10% off MSRP which I'm quite happy with for a custom order 2018.
I ordered Stingray 2LT Z51, Arctic White, Grey interior, black wheels, red brakes. Now it just has to hurry and show up!
Got the Red Jacket Treatment..Thanks Dave
Very lucky to have a Winning Combo in stock at KERBECK.Never saw a 2 Tone Seat in Gray.It is just PERFECT with WGG Exterior.
Stripes are a go or no go.These simply finish the Masterpiece
I have done some of each. Ordered my '15, '01 and my '68 in 70, '09 bought new off the lot and bought 5 low mileage used over the years. Happy with every one of them, but the '15 is light years better than all the prior ones.
2017 WGG 1LT automatic off the lot at Les Stanford Chevy in Dearborn, almost $10,000 off list price plus 0% for five years, probably a better deal than a factory order, and no waiting. I would have taken white (which they also had) or silver. I think they had a couple hundred C7s in stock, so odds of finding what I wanted were quite good. I live only about an hour and fifteen minutes away, so I drove down one afternoon for a test drive, went back to pick it up two days later. Thanks to Dennis Tap who made the whole process very pleasant.
This is my fifth Vette in 11 years, each was ordered exactly the way I wanted them, and part of the process was the anticipation of waiting for my Vette to be built, shipped, and the arrival day.
I ordered my C5 from a nearby Chevy dealer but the car never came so I called Kerbeck and ordered one from them. Got it in 5 weeks. Then 7 years later I ordered my C6 from our Corvette Club's sponsor . They matched prices with the big guys and had that car until 3 years ago when I ordered my C7 from a local dealer. When I didn't get the bench work sheet after a month I cancelled and ordered it from Hendrick's in Duluth and had the car in 6 weeks delivered to my door.
To me it's the only way to buy a new Corvette and not get hosed for useless options you don't need.
