We've driven Route 66 in these two, and the GS will be making the trip soon. I'm sure many that have taken their Vette's on the old road have found that the cars are a rolling car show all by themselves. With many visitors from foreign countries that have only seen pictures of a Corvette, they love to take pictures of themselves, and their traveling partners beside the car. We were in Seligman, AZ in the C6 when a bus load of British folks stopped. They must have taken over 100 pictures that day. It's all quite fun, and you do meet a lot of good folks from everywhere.
I wonder how many people viewing this get the significance of the background sign/statue and view through the store window.

Lol ! in december of 2000 I was delivering a motorhome from Quebec Province to Vegas, alone with my 9 year old son; being a fan of the Eagles I knew about the "corner in Winslow Arizona" and I plan my trip accordingly and left the I-40 and started the tune just before stopping on the corner, took about 30 sec for my son to realize ,
Just seeing is expression was worth it ! that and the Grand Canyon of course...

And.....the statue is of Jackson Browne, who wrote the song (but Glenn Frey helped him finish it and that's why the Eagles covered it). In fact, Frey is the one who came up with the line you quote above)
On a side note, that picture was taken in 2014, on our way back from the 20th Anniversary at the NCM. After Frey died in 2016, they added a statue of him at "the corner" as well

I recommend going to each state's web site to obtain their travel brochures to get the most info possible, then make your own decision. They're all usually free to promote their tourism.
