Got a busted windshield from a passing truck and took my '14 C7 roadster to Safelite in Plano TX to have the windshield replaced. They screwed up about everything they touched. Broke the wires to my Max 360 detector that was attached with a Blend Mount and now the rear view mirror vibrates so much I can't see out of it.
I found a post about repairing a loose mirror by straightening or replacing the pins in the mount but I think it refers to a C6. Can anyone tell me if the C7 mirror uses the same mounting setup? If not, any help with removing and replacing the mirror correctly would be greatly appreciated.
In all fairness, Safelite gave me a $250 credit on my deductable, but given a choice I'd much rather have had the work done correctly than the money.

There are 2 plastic pins on the windshield that the mirror assembly attaches to, but I do not know how to tighten. Safelite can send you the instruction sheet for installing the windshield, that may help. That's why my C7 went to the dealer for windshield replacement, I did't want some hacker dismantling the interior trim on my corvette.
Sorry to hear about your problems, but this isn't the first (nor probably the last) complaint about Safelite. I'd take mine to the dealer, or a reputable shop that uses OEM glass, even if insurance wouldn't cover the difference I had to pay the extra out of pocket.
Not sure why you don't make SafeLite fix the mirror, or pay to have it fixed. It wasn't shaking before, and it shouldn't now.
I agree, but would probably do the same for fear that they would screw up something else. It's nearly impossible to depend on someone to do a good job, or at a minimum, not break anything in the process. I ususally fix things myself unless I absolutely can't...
Nearest Safelite shop is 60 miles from where I live. And I really don't want them touching my car again. I just need some help with how to do it myself.
