just got a new Grand Sport.
love it but the brake dust is driving me crazy.
different brands of ceramic brakes. What's the best?
some discolor
my 2014 never gave this problem. Graphite is the problem I assume.
PowerStops is what I used for my 2017 GS, and seems to be popular in this forum (how I found them). Been very happy with them, purchased on Amazon.
They still get dirty, just a different color and takes a LOT longer. I use Wheel Woolies to clean the barrels when I wash things, much easier than pulling the wheel and I can get all the way around without moving the car.
Carbotech 1521's, hands down! I have a white car with black wheels and the brake dust was constantly making my wheels look brown They are worth every penny! Contact Adam@Amp'dAutosport.com.

You probably did not have a 2014 Z51 or you would have had the same dust problem!
I used Carbotech 1521's on my 2014 Z51 and went from having to clean my wheels every ~100 miles or the dust looked terrible and was pitting my black wheels. After, washed wheels when I washed the car! Dust did not pit wheels.
To be balanced installed Powerstops on my Grand Sport. They are very low dust.
Have 3 year experiance with Carbotech, I would recommend them.

Do these non dust brake pads regardless of brand squeal like crazy? That's the only thing stopping me from changing Factory pads on my car is that they're so quiet if I hear so much as a peep from anything they're coming right off because like the rest of you go after one drive and you got to wash the wheels when you get home or stare at them in the garage and they make you sick

Broke in my 2014 C7 Z51 OEM pads for about 1000 miles using moderate braking as recommended. They started to squeal like a stuck pig on some slow speed stops! Bedded them as it noted in the Owner's Manual (GM calls it burnishing-look it up) using about 10 to 12 stops NOT 25 as suggested in the Manual for racing. All noise stopped.
When I could not tolerate the dust any longer I installed Carbotrech 1521's Bedded them as they used to recommend (believe they no longer say it's needed.) In 3 years never heard a peep!
For my Powerstop Z26s bedded them with the moderate approach outlined in their instructions. No noise at all from day 1.
From what I have read, you must occasionally use performance brakes aggressively or the thin layer of pad residual that adheres to the rotors can build up in spots. That can cause pulsing and probably pad vibration and noise. Just a thought-have fun and use the brakes as intended for a Vette, at least occasionally!
I put on the Powerstop pads last year and yes low dust and no noise but they have turned my rotors brown. It is not rust so don't go there. I have been told it is from too much copper in the pads. I can only remove it with sandpaper. I contacted Powerstop last week but they have only 1 tech support guy and he has been on vacation. If i get no help from them i will go with the Carbotech pads
