C7 Side Airbags
Are the plastic covers on the outer sides of the seats just covers and can be removed without damaging anything or are the airbags actually attached to those plastic covers?

Here are the get to comp conversion instructions. It shows it's just a cover, but there's not too much detail. The guy that wrote these is still active, you could probably pm him to ask.
