I'm 6'6'' tall and looking to buy a 2016 Stingray. A buddy told me there is a way to get a couple of extra inches by moving the drivers seat back. Could you offer any advice?

Tall Vette Man.
You might wanna post this in the c7 section since you're looking for info on a 2016.
You actually move the seat bottom forward a bit and then recline the back. You can also tilt the entire seat assembly fore/aft as well to get a better fit.
Another trick is to unplug the rear bulkhead sensor. This sensor is to stop backward movement when the seat back hits the sensor. You can get a little more backward movement with the sensor unplugged. You can also burn out the motor or cause other damage if you are not careful.
it looks like the 4 bolts (for mounting the the seat on) go through a plastic panel (where the cable duct sits on). Someone tried to remove it or enlarging the pits surrounding the bolts?

That's a good pic of the floor pan I hadn't seen before. I don't think the seat studs can be relocated. Even if you could move them back some, the seat back would be too close to the bulkhead. There are some race seats that may provide more room.
