The Convertible is a bit quieter, but it's not Cadillac quiet by no means. It's a Corvette my friend. They come with road noise from the things you mentioned. Low to the ground, big old fat tires, and not much sound deafening material between you and the road. The only thing you can do is buy some "sound blocking" insulation to quiet it some, but even then it's still a Corvette. I just turn the radio up, and enjoy the heck out of my C7.

Every morning I wake up I look forward to waking my wife up when leaving the house with my LOUD @ZZ Corvette Z51 in Track Mode Sound! I smile each and every times listening to the rumble and roaring sound!
I agree that the C7 is not the quietest vehicle and not soft luxury riding as my other stable of cars. However, I don't have any expectations from the Vette other than raw American V8 power other than loud and neck snapping acceleration.
It may sound weird, but I don't like the music playing to loud where I can't hear the engine roaring and often ride with the radio turned off or when I am ready to bust a move and have a little fun, I turn down the radio so I can hear the roar and hear the auto shifting through the gears.
Enjoy your Corvette and accept it for what it is and not for what it isn't intended to be and you will have a happy smile whenever you drive it.
So I just came from a Lexus RCF that was quiet as a mouse, to my new Grand Sport, which I absolutely LOVE! My question is now I hear so much more noise from the car. Nothing crazy, but it is a high performance sports car that rides low to the ground, with tires twice the size of the Lexus. I am presuming that the Corvette should naturally be louder in the cabin then the Lexus. You hear a few creaks over driveways and the car is not just as sound deadening as I am used to. I presume that is normal and will get used to it. Maybe like going from a Blonde to a Brunette. Has anyone else gone from a very quiet car to the Corvette and am I correct in my assertaitions? Thanks as always in advance!
I actually went from a Lexus to a Corvette too! That RC F is nearly the same size as the vette but like 600 lbs heavier... the vette sure has less deadening, plus more fiberglass. No where near as quiet as a Lexus, but will also put a spanking on the RC F in any type of race
