Is there ANY clue that a car has magnetic ride besides actually seeing the shocks or RPO sheet?

If you can get under the hood, magnetic ride cars have this wire that runs into the engine bay from the top of the shocks.

Standard shocks yellow, mag ride FE4 shocks black with cable coming out of the top.

Not sure where I got white shocks from haha. I'm currently at the "search the country for a new car" with the possibility of my '07 being totaled.

Looking for 2/3LT, Z51, mag ride, and active exhaust in manual. Sometimes they don't have good descriptions. Trim is easy thanks to climate controls, Z51 is probable with slotted rotors, but it seems it's next to impossible to visually ID FE4 from stock pics.

Yeah, you need more than just an exterior shot of the car.

I liked how on the C5 and C6 you could instantly tell if the car had Magnetic Ride or not by looking at the console for the switch. Made it much easier to figure it out if you spotted a car on a lot, or in the Auto Trader.

My C7 Z51 did not have mag shocks. Look through the rear wheel, the 45 mm Bilstein's are Yellow. Base car has 35 mm shocks, not sure wht color they are.

My Grand Sport has mag shocks and they are black! Same easy view through the rear wheel, don't have to open the hood to see the wire coming from the shock top.

OP, you don't mention what year new car you're looking for, but the '17 model has magnetic shocks on both the FE2 and FE4 equipped cars, so if all you really want is the mag shocks the FE2 will get you what you want. The difference between the FE2 and FE4 is that FE4 includes the eLSD/PTM along with a few other goodies typically found on the Z51 cars, at least in prior years anyway. I suspect the '18s are the same.

Unfortunately, with the prospect of my '07 being totaled, I'll probably be picking up a '14 or '15. Bad timing since I was planning on a GS within 6-12 months. But, no time like the present, right?!
