Essential thing in Arizona. Find a quality shop with good reviews and you'll be fine. If you still have concerns, the dealerships also do tinting. Mine was tinted at dealership when new.
Dark as legal including back window. Driving at nite takes getting used to, vision wise. My '16 Z has backup camera & I have learned to trust it & back up now nite or day with no worries. It even "sees" way to the sides which helps alot backing out of parking spaces when you can't see folks coming down the lanes, especially the butt-heads who think it ok to drive down them like it's a street & seldom see you & be nice to yield for a whole 10 seconds.
I went with the side, windshield and rear hatch glass. I too was hesitant about the rear hatch since i read that thicker films don't curve well and I was set on Huper optik ceramic series but my installer showed me it was not a concern and, months later, it's still not.
In AZ I'd imagine something like the Drei series would work well. It blocks soo much infrared that it surprised me at the demo. I didn't go with it due to price and SCAL isn't as hot as other parts of the country.
I went with 3M Crystalline tint on all windows. 70% on the front and 40% on the rest. The car still gets warm in the Florida sun but not anywhere near what it was before the tint. I can get in the car and drive it immediately without the steering wheel and shifter frying my hands. It's dark at night, but not unmanageable.

Lived in Vegas for a spell without tinting, lived there with tinting. Trust me.
Stupid question but I got my C7 a few weeks ago, 2014. Looks like some tint is already on the vehicle, but I noticed on the rear window their are baby corvette logos in the window tint. Is that from the factory? It's actually kind of cool looking because from 10 ft away looks like a normal pattern but up close they are corvette flags. Wondering because I'd like to get darker tint.

I believe a modicum of tint from factory & yes the "babies" are factory-ain't they cute

I'm in Chandler, too! Not sure how you have already survived without tinting. I have 20% all the way around, always have on my vehicles, and never had a problem with LEO's. Definitely helps with the heat, sun, and makes the car look wayyy better.
Fort Myers Beach and I have 20% on front and back, I have done the same on My last three vettes and it works just fine in the Florida heat...I know 30% is the darkest legally but I have never had a problem with LEO.
I too live in SW Florida and the tinting really does help. But at night it is harder to see out but on the plus side less headlight glare. I have the max Florida law allows.
Got mine done by Cactus Tint in Scottsdale. Got the max legal for the state (35?) and did all the windows (except the front of course) including the rear hatch. It's a must for AZ. Also had them do the PPF on the front, outside mirror housings, and the lower area in front of the rear wheels. Wasn't cheap but a totally quality job. I think they used the Suntek products.
Darkness is the reason I went with a film that blocks the infrared even on Higher VLT rated films. Also, I'm not a "blackout" gothic fanboy.
