Default Road trip

Completed my road trip last week. My brother-in-law and I drove from Keller TX to Weirton WV for my 45th high school class reunion. Dropped him at the Pittsburgh airport to pick up a rental car. We stopped at the NCM for lunch and 3-4 times for fuel. I love the triple black Z06 awaiting delivery. 1268 miles 29.5 mpg and 65 mph avg speed. Took about 20 hours including stops.

Left Pgh. Sunday night for D.C. to visit family. Hit a traffic jam onon 270 coming into D.C. and rush hour traffic from D.C. to Richmond on Monday afternoon. This dragged down the mpg and average speed.

Left Richmond Monday evening and drove to Greensboro to visit my Aunt who just celebrated her 96th birthday.

Tuesday we left Greensboro and drove to Jackson MS and left there on Thursday back to TX. Ran into a rainstorm outside Atlanta.

Total of 3257 miles 27.8 mpg and 57 mph avg speed. Most of the time we ran between 65 and 90. I had the oil changed ($99) at dealer just before I left and monitor shows 56%. 17,240 miles on original tires. About 4-6000 left on front tires and 8-10 on rears.

Car ran perfectly. My only complaints would be tire noise and accessible storage for glasses, mints etc.

I'll post photos as soon as I figure out how.

Nice trip, I agree about the tire noise, a lot more noise than a typical car/SUV, but other than that, a lot of fun (especially going uphill when it accelerates like other cars going downhill haha).
