True for some buyers, but I only mentioned price because the OP did.

I had a A6 in my 2014 Z51 which had NO problems! I now have a A8 in my 2017 I "HOPE" I have NO problems!

The secondary cooler for the A8 was added for the 2016 model year.

But where can I find any supporting document on the web which mentions that the A8 transmission received cooling improvements during the '16 C7 model year? I have not been able to find anything related, the only model year mentioned as cooling improved is the '17 model year.

I am trying to find the documentation for changes but only the Z51 with A8 received the additional front transmission cooler (like the one used in the Z06); non-Z51 Stingray models in 2016 got the same cooling setup as 2015. I thought there was a note in the online order guide that specified changes from 2015 but it doesn't show up in my online order guide however here is a link to the Ask Tadge question where he does state the Z51 gets the new Z06 front cooler for 2016: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-or-other.html

I bought my '15 model A8 slightly used from the dealer and decided to purchase the extended warranty. During the winter months in cold conditions I've had a few hard shifts but in the humid Arkansas summer it's shifted and behaved very well. I only have 8k miles on it but my extended warranty gives me some peace of mind you might want to consider.
