I don't use the shift points I look at the tachometer and use 1500 rpm for each gear as the sweet spot lower you are lugging the car and above 1500 you need to be in the next gear !!! Wayne

Biil is right on. I ran a division for lockheed martin and thats what happens. Fortunately there are some who care enough to document things for the end user.

LM Syracuse? I worked in Owego from 1969 when it was IBM FSD and retired from LM Owego in 2006.

Last time I checked that line was straight. And I don't know what you mean by "split". "Appropriate any help"? Really? I'm not sure that's even English. Perhaps you should try harder to explain what your problem seems to be then maybe I can explain. But in general the lights are telling you it's time to shift to the next gear. How hard is that to understand?
Do not waste your time, use the tach. Those mickey mouse shift lights require to much stare time at the dash or Hud, The tach you can shift with just a glance.

on my 2019 GS, they go, green, yellow, red, white. White means you banged rev limiter.

Here you have a programable shift light (set each gear to what ever RPM you want to begin your speed shift). This light just plugs right into your OBD II port. Its very bright and you do not have to take your eyes off the road, track or what ever to let you know its time to bang a gear.

My C7 doesn’t have an HUD. How do I know when to shift? 🤓

1) Look at the tach
2) Listen to the engine
3) watch for unusual indications in the DIC

Thanks, but I guess you didn’t see the emoji at the end of my message. Since learning to drive a manual in 1963 I’ve always shifted by sound and feel or by watching the tach when so equipped.

Any serious 1/4 mile person with a manual trans would hardly use hud. Also anyone wanting to know exactly what rpm the trans shifts at during WOT conditions like a 1/4 mile pass or even roll racing wouldnt have a clue with hud shift lights.
The programable shift light allows for necessary early light on settings which would be different for each gear so you never hit the rev limiter as everyone has a different reaction time during speed or powershifting and never have to look at hud or the tach.
