Out with the beast today did a little experimenting with the performance timer.I got the tires nice and warm (no burnouts).Cant get it to hook up from a dead start best 0-60 3.7 but only tried sport mode too much horsepower even with the cup2s.Wanted to try the track modes but I'm still a little leary of disabling the traction control.Ill get over that what the mode mode out of the hole dry.track 1 or 2,Thanks
Don't bother disabling traction control (and especially stability control) unless you're ready to risk putting it in the ditch. It's not going to make you any faster... it doesn't prevent wheelspin, it just responds to it.
The modes you refer to might give you a different result in a scenario where you can hook the car up, but they're not going to fix wheelspin.
I've managed a 3.4 with MPSS and a 3.1 with MT ET SS, but launch control never got me more than a 3.6, so I don't think it's the hot ticket. If the track is really greasy though it might be better than not, but it's not going to approach a "good" launch.
I'm sure alot had to do with the surface,I've got my little back road hideaways where there's no way I can get pinched by Leo's.There nice clean asphalt but I'm sure I'd get a better lauch on concrete.
The transmission lock launch control is what you want. Designed specifically for that purpose without damaging anything. If you disable the traction and stability control (they are different) you'll crash. Watch people trying it leaving cars and coffee on YouTube. Very impressive right up to the palm tree.
Where are you trying this? I hope not on a street because you'll never hook up and you'll end up in the weeds. I've heard from a lot of people who all said the same thing, "Launch control is easily bested by learning your car and how to drive it."

Yes I guess your right ive been trying this on the street.Ill get to learn the car more before I try anything else.Im far to old and wise to take chances and go off half cocked and wind up in a ditch.I guess I was expecting a miracle anf for the car to hook up on a public road got spoiled driving my brothers 86 strip only car with a nice set of race rubber. We had that car running low 10s consistent great bracket car.Im betting at the strip under perfect conditions and a good reation time if this car could touch the 10.95 gm claims.

You know in Track Mode you have 5 selections. Sport 1 gives you some stability control with no traction control but you do have performance traction management that will help control wheel spin to some degree.
You can try and use it or Sport 2 or Race Modes as well.
You don't have to try and start with a wide open throttle thump on the gas pedal but do something a little less and see how the car reacts then try a few more times increasing throttle opening.
I was running an autocross with my M7 with the car set in Track Mode Sport 1. With the rpms being held right about 2000 I would let the clutch out and increase throttle at the same time. I would be at wide open throttle in about 40 ft. The rear wheels would start to spin and then catch, spin, catch and spin all the way through low gear while I had the throttle open before hitting the brakes for the first turn. After that I could roll onto the throttle coming out of a turn and go wide open before straightening the steering and the car just went. Every once in a while the rear would step out a bit but breathing off the throttle kept it in line without sacrificing speed.

Yes the right condions,I went back to the nice smooth piece of road same spot and switched to track mode more wheel spin did a 4.1.I think on the street I'll just feather the throttle a bit then hammer it.Fast enough for me I'm not a street racer got my first drag racing ticket at 17 with my 67 goat.Back when it was a slap on the wrist, now imagine it's a wreckless driving at least.
