I have a C 7 2016 Stingray automatic transmission that overheats up to 320 degrees in track mode within 5-10 minutes of use. Dealer says just pull off road and put in sport mode and let cool down. GM says they have gotten no other complaints. This has to be B/S. Anyone have the same problem and how have you handled it. Car still under warrenty

What is heating up, I presume the engine oil because I doubt if the transmission gauge even goes that high. Are you using manual shift and running at sustained very high RPM? This will heat up the oil very quickly.
On edit: If this is a non-Z51 then it doesn't have the additional transmission cooler which probably isn't easy to add. I couldn't imagine running transmission temps close to 320. I have never had high transmission temperatures with my 2016 Z06 and as I recall the Allison 1000 in my GMC Sierra will set off a warning when it reaches 260 degrees.
I assume you are referring to track conditions and not driving on the road when you experience this level of oil heat. What is the engine coolant temperature when it hits the overtemp warning?
transmission overheat C7 stingray Z 51 package automatic
I have the Z 51 package. Stingray is a automatic. Dealer admits on the QT that there is not enough air flo and they have had a number of complaints thru out the country. Someday there might be an update. Transmission temperature did get up to 320 degrees . this only happens in track mode however

I have this same issue with my 2019 Stingray z51 don’t matter if it’s in track mode, sport or touring. If I’m out and about racing around in 40 degree weather, my transmission fluid approaches red on the limiter. I have had the warning to idle the engine on numerous occasions. My dealership acts like this NEVER happens. They are so full Of crap!!!!

If you have the PDR you should be able to capture the data and display it in Cosworth, print it and show it to the dealer. Just a thought.
