i've seen some posts on this, but those seem to be related to older models.
My 2016 infotainment screen froze up on me last night and when I got out of the car it didn't shutoff. I went out a few hours later and it was off which was great. The bad news now, it is completely black when I start it back up.
If I touch the screen there are no sounds or anything. It seems completely dead. I've also noticed my phone won't connect via bluetooth and my turn signals now don't make sounds.
Any advice on this? I'm guessing it could be a fuse but that wouldn't have explained why it froze up before it wouldn't turn on.
Others here have reported similar problems. In some cases, the solution has been for the dealer to replace the screen under warranty. Your best bet is to have your dealer look at the car.
I would disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 10 minutes and then reconnect. It may reset what ever is giving the problems. Remember to re-index your windows after connecting your battery.

In my case, it was the HMI (Human Machine Interface) module...dealer replaced it and all is well...the battery disconnect solution worked once but the problem returned....
Good luck...

Yeah, I had my HMI replaced after two weeks of ownership, too. The symptoms were different (system wouldn't recognize my flash drive in the USB port) but replacing the HMI solved the problem.
I just programmed about 15 XM channels on my 2016 C7, When the engine is not running, I can scroll thru the channels on the steering wheel and see them on the dash and the nav screen so I know they are loaded. The minute I fire up the car the scroll (fav) steering wheel buttons stop working and the channels are not displayed. Solution? Thanks J
