After weeks of mulling things over, and going over and over in my head, 'should I, shouldn't I?" I finally pulled the trigger and sent in a deposit on a GS Admiral Blue Convertible. Grey interior and top, black wheels, red calipers, M7, white stripe. Got 11% off and no fees, so I'm relatively happy with the deal, plus I splurged on the Museum Delivery Option. I know, I know, factory is closed and the car probably won't be ready until late December or early January. That's fine by me, just gives me more time to save up for a bigger down-payment.
Used to have a C5 convertible, but hated the interior quality, or lack thereof. Drove a GS coupe M7 and after a single drive and a quick scan of the interior I was hooked. I'm glad to be getting back into the Corvette family, and I hope that the finished product looks as amazing in person as it does on the Chevy build site.
It's going to be good to be back in the saddle again. Thanks to all for the many ideas and nuggets of information I've already learned here.
Congrats man ... trust me, your gonna love your C7 GS when you get it ... and you even picked the best color combination: Well, except you should have gone two tone grey interior

Hope you opted for the two tone grey interior but none the less you won't look back after that museum delivery
MacMulkin, they offered 11% off and no fees whatsoever. Criswell offered 8% off. I actually had a local dealer offer to match the 11%, but they had a $600 dealer doc-fee, which I thought was outrageous since they'd never even see the car since i'm doing the Museum Delivery Option.
Nice color choice and correct transmission choice! Congrats.
I live just down the road from you, and I have the same problem with these local dealers. Bought my last two Corvettes from MacMulkin. Well done.
Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone. And for my Cary neighbor, I had to actually chuckle when I stopped by the Hendrick location in Durham and told them what I was looking for. The "Corvette Specialist" (his words, not mine) said, "we have the best prices on Corvettes anywhere!" When I told him what I could get, price-wise on a 2018 at MacMulkin, he almost choked on his tongue right there! Thought I was gonna have to call 911. LOL Where do you get your car serviced? Any do's or don'ts I need to know about?
