Hi guys, does anybody have any experience to install any color of rim inserts like on 2017 GS satin black rims with red lines, I am thinking to get stock glossy black rims and install some insert, but not vinyl tape, thanks for any input

These are AlloyGators on OEM Z06 wheels, likely available from and installed by a local tire shop.
These are 1/8 inch red pinstripe tape on OEM Z06 wheels, available anywhere and DIY:
If anyone comes up with a paint machine for striping, I'm interested.
The best I've seen is from tapeworks. They sell a tool that helps with installation. The op said no vinyl for some reason, so this wouldn't be good for him, but if you want color without protection or painting, tapeworks is the way to go.
I had RimBlades on my 2015 Arctic White Vette. After one year the glue started to let go from the red plastic RimBlade.
I like the look so much that I had to find an alternative. I purchased a set of Rim Ringz. The do not glue on they have small plastic clips built into the ring that hold it between the rim and the tire. They were easy to install and the company it absolutely GREAT to deal with.
Sorry for the bad angle view. But you get the idea.
From the pics on this thread, I like the tape better than the installed version. Looks to big for the tire and sticks out to far. Think I might do the tape and see how long it stays on.
I used tapeworks a year ago on my GS holding up great and looks terrific, Tool helps buy is more money then the tape. I did mine without the tool with no problems. They give you 1 or 32 extra pieces to play with when you order the tape. Try that can always buy the tool afterwards if needed.
I originally used 1/8" 3M Red pin stripe tape about a month ago. However, I saw my friends Z06 painted red stripe at a car show and mine looked anemic! So, I had mine done from the same pin stripe guy. Cost $175 and came right to the house. All 4 wheels taken off and painted free hand.
