Well, I cut my own black vinyl, but oddly, I don't know now if I love this either. Here's before and after. Thoughts?

I think the black looks pretty good. Nice job! And I also must award you the OCD medal of honor because I don't think anyone else would even notice this detail on a vette.

I like it more than the gold, but I'm not in love with it. (great job on the cutting job though! Can't even tell it's an overlay).

Maybe try a silver/white like in the checkers of the left flag?

Thanks guys. I agree, as much as hated the gold, it added some depth to the emblem. I'll probably try different colors and see what works there.

I don't mind the gold, but if I had a totally blacked out car, I can see where you might. I think you're black overlay looks pretty good, and now matches the fleur-de-lis on that side of the emblem.

Just cut one for the rear too. Black it is for now. And whoever mentioned OCD, wait til I do the tiny bow ties in the centercaps too.

Thanks for the photoshop, was thinking red too. Here's the problem, I don't have a laser cutter, so with dark colors such as carbon flash or black vinyl, the edges get lost. If I cut red, it will show imperfections. But I like the red, assuming I find red vinyl that matches the red of the insert on the emblem.
