Default GS splitter

I own a gs built the first day of production for 2017. Rried to order the front splitter protective plate from protek. Sent pictures, they told me it won"t work. My splitter is known by forum members as the "poverty splitter" Ptotek informed me. Anyone know what it is, is it better or worse than later ones. I have terrible time with my driveway any answers.

Poverty is the nickname for a stage 1 splitter. It has nothing to do with dates or later ones. Reach out to member JerryU. I believe I saw him mention something about a protection platr for his splitter

PS I feel your pain, my driveway is also a nightmare

The reason it is called the poverty splitter is because in only cost $100 vs hundreds of dollars for carbon fiber splitters.
The thinking is that it is cheap enough to replace that it is disposable and not worth extra expense to try to protect it from damage.

I have one on my 2014 Stingray and it has a full 6 inches of clearance, which is HUGE for a Corvette.
Maybe you just need to work on you technique of entering driveways and parking lots at an angle to minimize the scraping.

Yep, not sure if Scrape Armor has anything to fit a Poverty splitter since nothing to screw it into. In addition at $100 far cheaper to replace it a coupe of times! Could remove and Scrape Armor does have one for the C7 protruding bumper that I scraped before I got my splitter for my C7! Was much more careful after that!
