As I stated in an earlier post, owning my Grand Sport convertible for two weeks, every time I opened the trunk, I could not help but notice that the interior section of the trunk looked unfinished. So after fixing the paint defect, I went to Hobby Lobby, picked up several sheet of styro poster board, some red material to match my interior and a can of 3M 77 spray adhesive. Already had some construction cement. Made some templates, built up the curvatures in the uneven sections, and added a little blood sweat and tears, and a few Angry Orchards hard apple , and behold the mod. What do you think?
I have this grey one (purchased) and the glue is definitely substandard. The carpet, fit, and logo are top-knotch, however. I have beefed up the velcro fastening system, and it still cannot stand the heat, and down it comes.
