I do like the look, however, they capitalized the "S" and "R" in StingRay, but the C7's model name is Stingray with a lower case "r". Then again Chevy couldn't make their mind up either...

Are you referring to the pic a couple posts above? All the characters are upper case.

Yeah, but at least when Chevy first used "Sting Ray", it was the same as the aquatic animal they were naming it after. Or... wait, I just did a quick interweb check, and it looks like Stingray is correct. Dayum, learn something new some days.

I don't think that's technically correct. With that particular font, the lower and upper case letters look the same, but are different sizes.

Exactly.

Why don't you just buy 2 of the Stingrays emblems that are on the side of the car. I think I paid $15 for a set at my dealership.
By the way, I had to close your other thread. Forum rules indicate that you can start only one thread on any particular subject.
Thanks! I screwed up the first one... 😯

You're right Zyrmugy, thanks. That's exactly what I meant. Right now I have a c3 stingray script side badge just above the "Fish". Kinda nod to the old, along with the new. But when I saw the badge above.... I really liked it, and hoped I might be able to find one. This is what I have now. I was never a big fan of the Fish! People are asking me "What is it" Or may favorite... Why do you have a guitar on the side of such a beautiful car" LOL.... SOME FOLK JUST DON'T GET IT.

Saw your old post and I'm going to remove the fish and replace it with the Script C3 Stingray. I purchased the emblems and have ground off the mounting pins. My question to you is, was the adhesive on the emblems strong enough to hold on the body or did you use something else. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It's not like they were the same guy. The person who designed the C7 logo was probably the grandson of the guy who designed the original. There's no particular requirement that it stay the same through the generations.
