Are the worth the money? I see that they are titanium!
I do like the Corsa also.
I hear Billy Boat has great sound.
How do they compare?
All three are solid products. All three will have members here that swear by them.
All I can say is that the demand for the Akrapovic exhaust is unlike anything on the market today. The blend of usability (valves), durability (titanium), craftsmanship, sound, looks, and performance gains (+19 hp // + 19 ft-lb // -25.5 lbs) make it the most requested item we have for the Corvette by far.
I have the Akrapovic on my car. Nothing beats that titanium sound in person. I think it was worth the money. + I love the carbon tips and that it utilizes the NPP function still.
Never seen their Corvette systems, but all my roadracing motorcycles had their systems on there. Their welds are like works of art. Quality is first-rate. Not cheap by any means, but in my experience they were always worth the investment. I'd usually get 3-5 horsepower more with their systems versus the competition. It was worth it.
Although it's the best made system I'll agree, the elite of exhaust systems (they even sponsor the Porsche LMP1 cars)... Its overkill unless you're rich or building a race car.
The weight savings from a Half Titanium exhaust and all the fluid dynamics simulations in the world can only get you so much.
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

I'd sooner put the money elsewhere in the car. I'd rather have more performance than better sound. Besides, when a factory Mustang sounds better than an aftermarket Corvette there's really no point.
I have no problem laying down the cash, they sure are perrrty, I hope someone has one at Carlisle that I can hear in person .
I live in Carlisle if you want to hear it, it's on a C6 Z though with some motor work, well more than some... Obviously they don't have a booth or installation at Carlisle. Worth every penny in my opinion...
Just curious what the difference is between the Akrapovic for the C7 and C7ZO6?
They have two different part numbers, C7 ending in a (1) and the ZO6 ending in a (2).
There is a vendor on the forum that claims they are universal and the C7 will work on the ZO6, only difference is two valves will stay closed, what . . .
Why work a company at the level of Akrapovic make a universal system with two different part numbers?
If, we decided to purchase the slip-on, how can we be sure it's ZO6 specific?
