Default 2018 Model Year Pricing

I have been a member of the forum since some time in 2011 and starting in 2012 I put together a spreadsheet for member to download and use to figure out what they were going to spend on their mew Corvettes.

I took a couple of years off because I was not sure there would be a big demand for the workbook. The last year I did it I had over 40,000 views and 10,000 downloads. I would like to know if there is still an interest. I started a 2018 MY Price Book but before I continue I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks,

Mike

BTW here is the last one I did if you are interested.

Does it do anything different from what the current Chevy "Build Your Own" does? Just a question.

In my opinion quite a bit. But you will have to be the judge. Why don't you download the last version and take a look you will need Excel to use the spreadsheet. Let me know what you think. PM me if you want.

I think it's super cool, but then I'm a data hungry Excel loving maniac.

Nice work, that took a lot of time and dedication to create and make function accurately.

I used your 2015 guide when I purchased my 2015 C7 and it was invaluable in negotiating price with my local dealer; great job!! I would think anyone contemplating a purchase would find this a very important tool.

I also used your spreadsheet back in 2015, and I think it is great and I definitely recommend it for anyone trying to figure out options and costs.

Go for it!

Very impressive spreadsheet...well done! Obviously, a lot of work on your part. Would think that folks looking to purchase would find this very useful. Thank you for posting and offering to do an updated version.

Your spreadsheet looks similar as the model our dealer used when we ordered our GS. We followed every step on his computer he took and saw him input all our desired options and tax/fees/trade-in value/dealer loyalty/incentives etc. calculations to our bottom-line out of door cash expense. By being able to see how he arrived at bottom line, we felt confident there were no hidden fees.
Your model is great and if you don't mind doing this extra work, I would like you to continue this spread sheet for future years. Who knows - we may need it for getting our next vette (C8).
Thanks for your effort to help the corvette community

Would like to see the 18 sheet complete, have you made them for anything else?

Been missing your worksheet the past couple years Mike. I kept looking for it to refer members to it but couldn't find it.

If you're up to the task I'm sure people would appreciate it. We would all like to buy you an electronic drink to say thanks.

I have not made them for any other vehicle except the Corvette and Jaguar in the works.

Cool spreadsheet. I did a very quick not user friendly version of that when figuring out my 2018 purchase.

It would be helpful even to those buying a previous year for price comparison too (as in me). I would use it.

Excellent spreadsheet. Very useful. Please continue updating. I agree with prior post that it is also helpful if purchasing a pre-owned vette.

Mike, I, for one, want to thank you so much for your previous effort. When I was planning my purchase it was an indispensable tool. Unfortunately, I did not make the decision to buy until model year 2016 and had to "plagiarize" your work and update your 2015 version with the new RPOs and prices for the 2016 model year. Without your work, it was certainly not something I would have taken on from scratch.

With all the changes since 2015 (addition of the GS, etc.), I would appreciate an update for the 2018 model year. Just in case I decide to move up to the GS - wait, not sure I can convince the better half that the current car is not my "last" Corvette. We can dream can't we?

Thanks again!

Definitely found your workbook to be a great source of information and appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Would love to see one for 2018.
