Navigation Auto Populate?

Navigation Auto Populate?
The nav in our Silverado will auto populate when we start typing in an address. We get a drop down with options to choose after just a few key strokes. The instruction manual for my newly acquired C7 says the nav will also self populate but mine does not; I have to key in the entire address in order to set the destination. Is this normal on the C7 systems or is there something wrong with mine? Everything else seems to work fine.

Although some of the Infotainment manual isn't very specific, the 2017 manual states that for address entry:
When there are multiple matches, a dropdown arrow (my note: a downward pointing triangle with a number in it) is shown after the autocomplete text. This dropdown displays an entire list of matches. Touch the appropriate match without having to enter more text.
Playing with my display, this appears to be the method used for other data input other than addresses. It auto-suggests one address while typing and displays the triangle with the total number of matches in it. Touching the triangle displays the list of matches.
One interesting change from a friend's 2014 is that the address entry is now multiple fields - city, street name, and address. My friend's has a single field where one can enter in the entire address.
