I have a 2016 Z51 which I track, it has everything but the MRC. I was able to ride one with MRC at Spring Mountain and loved it. My question is; is it possible to upgrade my current car to MRC or do I have to trade it in and get a new one? If I can upgrade any thoughts on total expense?
MSRC is so much more than the magnetic dampers and monotube struts. It's a complete suspension control system that uses magneto-rheological fluid-based actuators, four wheel-to-body displacement sensors, and a computer to provide real-time and continuous control of vehicle suspension damping. The system uses a combination of sensors, as well as steering wheel and braking inputs.
It's a pretty complicated system, and while most anything is possible, it would probably be cheaper to find a C7 that's already equipped.
Can it be done? Sure, anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
Is it cost effective? No... You want it? Trade your car and get one that has what you want. That's why I loaded my car up when I ordered it. (minus the 3LT interior) I wanted "no regerts"... (yeah, I saw that Snickers commercial...lol)
