My spousal unit and I made a road trip from western MD to New England. We drove a total of about 1200 miles. On the trip to New England I drove in Tour Mode with the Range turned on and cruise control set to between 70 and 77 mph. We averaged 32 mpg. During our time in New England I forgot to run the Range off a couple times and did get 2 CELs but they cleared after 2 restarts. On the way home I drove with the Range off and used Weather (rained most of the way home) and Tour mode with the cruise control set at the same speeds when the weather and traffic allowed. We averaged 33.8 mpg, not a big difference. Amazing how much "stuff" will fit in the cargo area. We stopped twice to do some shopping on the way home and I was surprised that we were able to get everything in the cargo area without too much trouble. All in all a great trip.

Thanks for the update on the Range Colonel. That's not much difference in mileage. I just ordered a Range unit yesterday. I will use it all the time around town, and probably do like you and leave it off on the interstates.
My mother who knows nothing about cars commented to me that she saw a new Corvette that was a beautiful blue. Said she liked it better than mine (black) and that I should have gotten the blue. Thanks Mom!

Now that's too funny my friend. But, we do love our Mom's.

my mother always makes a comment about "why didn't you get blue" whenever i guy a new car. Like clockwork
OK kids, I just took my first ride with the Range unit installed. I would have never thought it would have made that much difference. Driving through the small town in my area there's no stumbling at lower speeds when moving from 4 to 8, and the transmission is so happy happy happy. I should have bought the dang thang sooner, but......
Now I need to run the on/off switch and all will be well.

It's a 2016 built in 02/16. No cel's or forced 4th gear yet. So far have remembered to switch off the Range before shutting off engine. Only switch on the Range after obtaining normal idle.
