Default Motion detector activated

or something to that effect, on the dashboard screen when I turned off the motor tonight.

That's never happened in the 4 years I've had the car.

What's up with that?

The one next to your hatch release button. Right where you can hit it by raising your left leg.

The one next to the hatch release button is for the gas tank, I thought.

And no, whichever button you're talking about, I don't know if I hit it twice, or even once.

I did hit the hatch button to open the hatch, though.

The one next to the hatch release is the motion sensor button. There is no gas door button on the C7.

My bet is that since you popped open the hatch, you hit the other button, as well.

There is no gas tank cover release button on a C7.

As was mentioned, there is no such button!

I do, however, have to hit a button to open my gas fill lid! I have my door locks set for only unlock my driver's door when unlocking. Therefore when I open my driver's door to get out to pump gas the other doors are locked.

Yep doors plural as the gas lid is considered a door! Even though I open the driver's door and it's "by definition" unlocked, I still have to hit the "open doors" button on the door panel!

PS: You must not jack up your car or you'd have found that other button. Scares the heck out of me when I forget and the car horn blasts continually until I push that button!
