Default 2014's getting to my price range mid $40's

I've had '94 C4, '01 C5 and '07 C6 but Vette-less almost 2 years. Notice some 2014 automatics are 6-speeds. When did they go 8-speed? All previous Vettes were manuals but the 8-speed auto interests me and would allow the wife to drive (some times). She can do manual but not comfortable with it. Seeing a lot of '14s Z51, 3LT with manuals and A6s. Thanks for any input.

I wouldn't overlook the 2014s with the A6. The 2014s have been solid, reliable performers.

I finally bought 2014 z51 3lt 8000 miles $44,500. Stick with 2014 a6 tranny. Unless you find a used GS for $ 50,000 then live with possible torque converter issues.

But that's a leftover 2016 (not even a 2017) 1LT with no options.

You cannot find brand new Stingray's for mid $40's with an automatic transmission. Example cheapest 2017 1LT Stringray with an automatic is $50,540 right now at MacMulkin. But there is only one at that price and it is the least popular color. The 1LT's with popular colors are closer to $53-54K.

I would think a lower mileage used one with an auto should save you closer to $10K vs buying new.

Have we started a poll to check for a ratio of A8 issues? Because if I'm to believe everything I read every time I click a thread about the 8-speed automatic you would think it's like 90%?

if you guys have had problems with your own automatics why must you taint every single thread regarding an automatic Corvette? There was a time when posts that had nothing to do with the thread were removed by the moderators.
I guess they're just overwhelmed by the same thing every single day.

I'm very happy with my 2014 and really like the 7-speed manual. Took delivery at 3 miles and now have over 35k on it.

I didn't say there was actually one for sale but if so that would be about the rock bottom price. So unfortunately there is no link for you.

thanks. Haven't seen one left over or not that cheap new without gimmickery in ads. And definitely not an auto.

Auto would be an "option".

My 2014 Z51 A6 was a great car and hopefully my A8 in my 2017 Z06 will be just as good. I agree with 16/C7Z problems with the C7 A8 are not as wide spread in the he A8 as one might think from this forum especially in later years we are not hearing about A8 problems as much. The M7 is a great option also if you like to drive a Manual. Good Luck !

Congrats and I am very jealous - that is exactly what I am looking for: 2014 3lt. Curious about your purchase, and hope you don't mind sharing - when did you buy? private or from a dealer? What was the "asking" price? That is an awesome price for that trim and low miles!!

My 2014 A6 has been VERY Solid. Zero Problems and almost to 8,000 miles I believe. I actually prefer the 6 over the 8 for Automatic as Paddle shifting with 8 Gears is just going to be a Job...

Good to hear were still worth mid 40's as I bought mine with Discount in early 2014 and paid mid 50's... Woo hoo

FWIW about 6 months ago I bought a mint condition one original owner ( old guy in his sixties) 2014 Z51/mag ride A6 3LT coupe 6500 miles with carbon fiber interior transparent top chrome wheels in Laguna Blue/ Light gray interior for $ 46,200. It still had about 2 1/2 months to go before the 3/36 OEM warranty expired, so I had time to get a 5 yr/60000 mile GMEPP service contract ( basically an extended warranty) from Dennis Fichtner.

I'm now up to 10,200 miles and it has run perfectly. The A6 is seamless in automatic mode as it transitions from V8 to V4 mode and back. There are some great deals to be had on similar mileage 2014 3LT's, just takes time and patience to find one in the mid 40's. If you are interested in getting a GMEPP service contract like I did, just make sure the OEM 3/36 has not expired. Best bet is check with Dennis ( a well known chevy dealer out west who sells a ton of warranties at a great price to forum members).

2014 z51 3lt Laguna blue eBay. I thought it was private seller. Find out it's a dealer. On eBay July6 th I'm the highest bidder $42,000. Reserve not met 7 weeks later on eBay same car buy it now $48,000 or best offer. Going back and forth $44,500 sold. Also their was a red one on eBay 3000 miles start bid $46,000 two sets of rims two tops z51 3lt. No one bid. I found laguna blue z51 3lt 6000 miles on autontrader. Asking 48,000 my offer $44,000 no dice says he will keep if not sold by winter. 47,000 is his lowest. Looks like $44,000- $45,000 is what the going price is for low mileage 2014 z51. Picking my car up tomorrow.
