Default Portable compressor

Can anyone recommend a good portable tire inflator that fits in the
trunk storage bin?
Much appreciated.

Slime digital inflator bought at a local discount store. It has auto shutoff at set pressure and seems accurate as it matches TPMS / DIC tire pressure. I have one in each car. I use mostly for bicycle tires.

I picked this one up and seems to work fine. However, I did buy the power adapter that connects directly to the battery. Not sure what the fuse what rated for in car and didn't want to take a chance.

I've got a cycle pump inflator from AeroStich, Yes, it's $110, it's really small and fast. Yeah just google AeroStich and look for cycle pump air compressor.

Same here. Haven't had to use it on the 'Vette but it did a great job on a big fat Jeep tire that had to be de-aired for trailering.

I've got this one on my Amazon list and will be picking it up shortly. It's got the compressor plus the tire repair kit. It was highly recommended on a prior thread on here.

I need to take measurements to see if it will fit the cubby in the back compartment though.

Got this one on Amazon. Works great, not expensive, and fits in the rear cubbie.

Add this, and you're all set with a quality 12v compressor and plug kit for a total of around $40:

Vote for the Slime digital one. If you drag race and have one you make a lot of friends at the end of the day!

I got a cheapo Cambell Hausfeld from Walmart years ago for the C5 when I ditched the original crappola run-flats. However, I've only used it on race cars at B'ville, instead. Unlike some others I've seen go up in smoke when used hard, this thing just keep working.

I found the Slime digital to be inaccurate. For example. It measures my tires at 29 when I have them inflated to 32. So if I inflate to true tire pressure, measured by accurate instruments, I have to go 3lbs over per the gage on the Slime device. I sent the first one back and the new item was 2 lbs off. It is good enough to get air in your tires, but you can't depend on it for an accurate reading. At least in my experience.

Does yours report a pressure that matches what the DIC in the car registers? Mine doesn't. See my post below.

It does but it takes a few seconds for the DIC to update.

Yes. Thank you and I do understand that. For what you can purchase it for it is good enough.
