Default Shift **** Cap Customized

Painted my Shift **** Cap to match body color. Not 100% happy with the results but thought I'd throw it up here for others to consider:

Did you use any particular type of paint so it would be less likely to wear off over time?
One good thing about the old ball type **** is that it is solid so it will never really wear out. In the case of Hurst, the emblem is cast into the ball, not painted.

^^^ I did not. I just used rattle can, roughed it up with scotch bright, some thick coats of clear and went to work. I will say however, the way I shift, I don't touch that area, but YMMV.

Default It's so nice and that's the problem(?)

It really looks great, a sweet touch, BUT knowing myself I would avoid touching it excessively, dirty hands, etc.....if you're not as bad as I then pat yourself on the back, nice touch.....

I'm sure you didn't post it here fishing for compliments, but I'm with the rest of the group, it looks really good. Didn't think I'd like it when I read your thread title, but it looks great
