Chrome is dated. I actually waited to buy a gs partially because the stupid chrome strip on the stingray grill was unacceptable to me. Plastidip could of made it work but as it stood it looked terrible imo.
Or you could have just ordered the $100 carbon flash badge package on the Stingray and that includes a blacked out grill.
It's not interesting to read a thread where people are saying I hate your choice, because there's a very strong possibility that I really don't like yours either.
I'm a #s guy as well, unfortunately the poll tool didn't cooperate.

You have nickle-painted aluminum that would typically be associated with lower end cars, chrome aluminum which has been adorning fine cars forever it seems, however the younger crowd just aren't having it, then there's the black painted wheels which seem to be the craze as of late but who knows how long they will stay in favor and machine-faced aluminum.
Note: I was actually including a poll, however it only gives you 5-minutes to complete the poll before it times you out without one.
I got black, it was the only acceptable option imo. I agree its a matter of the right color schemes. My issue was with all the black already on pretty much every c7, anything else sort of clashes.

I am 38, my dad is 61 and loves his chrome, so I get it.
Chrome is never dated on the right car, as demonstrated above. Chrome has always been a popular choice for fine cars and always will.
Black has become popular on some SUVs and sportscars over the last few year, I'm wondering how many we will see 5>10 years from now.
Polished aluminum. Least amount of added weight, shiny, but not chrome shiny and plastic looking. Light scratches & scuffs can be buffed out with some aluminum polish and clear coated with a rattle can...
^^^Beat me to it...totally agree. Polished aluminum would have been my favorite. I'm actually tempted to pick up an extra set of rims and polish them myself, but am not excited about all the time and effort it will take me to accomplish it.

I'm happy with the spectra grey on my WGG Z06. The polished outer lip gives nice separation between the wheel and tyre. Something the all black wheels lack which is why I'm not a fan. I would normally have gone chrome but the grey looks better on this colour and is almost a direct match.
I'd say chrome is the only right answer, but here's the reality:
They made THOUSANDS of every one of these, so they're all the right answer. Pick the one you like. Thousands will hate it and thousands will have the same as you and love it. No one finish can or will please everyone, there will be haters no matter what.
