Someone backed into me . no cracks in the nose but a dimple the size of a dime and 2 3" indents . Whole front end is clear bra and ironically no scratches but might not matter anyway. Now question is 1 can the bumber actually be repaired that its plastic since no cracks. 2. if so can just the bumber be blended i would hate to blend the fenders and the hood for this little damage and also have to re clear bra whole car. Any input would be great . i have a 2017 watkins glen gray grand sport.
If you do end up fixing it, get enough money out of whomever did it to re-do the clear bra. I actually had a rider put on my insurance to cover the Xpel....
My 2014 Cyber Gray had a ding in the front bumper at center when I went to pick it up off showroom floor. I took it back to dealer week later and they took off the front bumper, fixed ding, and repainted it. Perfect blend and reinstall. Guess clear bra can be taken off and a new one installed afterwards.
It maybe possible to correct with out painting just a heat gun. You need a better than average body shop look at it. It's easy to turn a minor repair into major mess.
Few years ago I hit a deer in the 370Z Roadster I had at the time. Insurance not only paid to have the damage repaired, they also reimbursed me for having the clear bra re-installed, since the clear bra had been installed on the car prior to the incident.
Thanks guys , I'm hoping for the heat gun route, that's what I was thinking . Would rather have close to perfect and clear bra again than any paint work .
