Bought identical 2017 & 2018 the same day (sorta)...
Soooo, I wired the money to Kerbeck's a week ago and flew to Atlantic City, via Philly, to get it yesterday. Henry, the driver, picked my up at the airport, on-time even though my flight was early. He told me about the two guys from CA he'd picked up the previous Saturday and we swapped colorful car lies all the way to the dealership.
My car was ready to go, Ronald and everyone involved bent over backwards to "wine & dine" me while I waited for a few little odds and ends to be completed and I signed the voluminous paperwork. Finally, it was time to fire 'er up, get gas at the station down the road, drop off Ron back at the business, and point her west.
Great plan, however, as I left the filling station it was obvious something was seriously amiss on the '17, NO power-steering, nada, zilch, none. Had it, then didn't. I drove it back to the shop and the technician/mechanic was called back in to work to "fix" it (this was mid Saturday afternoon, by now). In the mean time Ron and I had a great discussion about... well, everything, interrupted regularly by him checking on my car and its progress.
Then, out of the blue I was told first the bad news, then the good: it couldn't readily be fixed and I'd just flown @ 1500 miles to get it and drive it home). Then, the GREAT news, they had an absolutely identical '18 that they'd let me have for the same price, given the situation. I was shocked, looked at the '18, and said, "DO IT!" Ron called my insurance carrier and straightened all that out while the revised paperwork was being completed.
Now, I and the '18 are spending tonight at Indy (what crappola roads in Indiana!) before heading to my racing buddy's shop in IL in the morning, unannounced. What fun!
So, via the courtesy, consideration, and efforts of EVERYONE who I dealt with at Kerbeck's the deal was preserved. I cannot thank them, nor recommend them highly enough!!! So, you see, I did "sorta" buy two identical C7s the same afternoon!

Glad the situation was worked out to your satisfaction , but….
Stupid question, here, but why wasn't the car fueled up when you took delivery?
(yep, leave it to me to hone in on that particular piece of the narrative)

Who knows, owc6. Having worked in dealerships when I was a kid, I know such things happen. I was glad it happened as/when it did.

Man that's luck that they had virtually the same car in stock.

OOPS! Just realized I put the wrong years in the subject line... who knows, YOU too might get old, if you're lucky! ;-)

With so many complaints about dealerships, this is a really nice story. Way to go Kerbeck, glad they came through for you OP. Enjoy the 2018 that had 2017 discounts!

Just got home this evening. Some rain and LOTS of road construction. A filthy car to clean on the morrow. I'll send a link to all your kind comments to my sales rep at Kerbeck and ask him to share it there. Thanks. (pix after cleansing)
(And, THANKS, Zymurgy. I couldn't see any obvious way to do that.)

Here are a couple pix since cleaned up. In the first you may be able to see that I've already eliminated the stylized Fender electric guitars from the... well, fenders; where else? Oh yeah, my bad; those are stylized stingrays (my granddaughter loves playing with them). The second pic is it tucked in with some of its stablemates.
