Anyone go from Laguna Blue to Admiral Blue?
Fellas,
I'm looking into upgrading my Laguna Blue Z51 coupe for an Admiral Blue GS Convertible. I've only seen the Admiral Blue live on a showroom floor. It's impressive, but it doesn't pop like the Laguna Blue. I've seen videos of it in the sun, and it looks amazing. Other times in dimmer light it appears washed out.
I'd like to hear from the Admiral Blue owners and let me know what you think. Plus if anyone went from Laguna to Admiral, are you just as happy when you had the laguna?

Extremely happy. Loved Laguna Blue but also Loved the 1996 Grand Sport with the white center stripe and red hash marks so upgraded. I only like the Admiral Blue better with the Grand Sport full center stripe and hash marks other wise preferred the brighter blue of Laguna Blue. Both are great colors. Admiral Blue has more purple in it and the Laguna Blue is more of a pure blue but both look awesome.

Both are beautiful, but Laguna Blue is a more vibrant color.

Not speaking from experience, but as a former C6 owner, I really wanted jetstream blue metallic, then postponed buying for a year, but when I finally pulled the trigger in July 2012, it was no longer available so I ordered supersonic blue metallic. I've since sold it but am ready to buy a C7. My dilemma: I love laguna blue and as you noted, admiral blue doesn't pop as much. On the other hand, I want a new C7. Was hoping another blue might be introduced for 2018, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Having said this, I don't want to wait another year so will likely go with admiral blue which is still a great color.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for illustrative purposes...

I went from Torch Red with Red seats, to Admiral Blue with Black seats but I've since added red seat covers. Both Laguna and Admiral blue are stunning colors, and I do miss my Torch Red sometimes. :-)
Good luck with your decision.

When I saw the first Admiral Blue '16's, I was waiting to get a 17 GS in a blue exterior, I went out and bought my current 16 Z51 in Laguna Blue. If you like the black wheels then Admiral Blue is a better fit. If you like the silver or chrome wheels then Laguna Blue is the better. The Admiral Blue appears to have a little purple in it to me.

Thank you! We love it. Get many complements. I thought I'd see more in the year I've had it. The photo above, there were 450 Corvettes here. It was the only Admiral Blue c7. I know quite a few were made. Just wonder how many were sold

No...... Couldn't do it.....
Our '16 Stingray in Laguna Blue was being bought back by GM Engineering for the dreaded WARBLE noise to use as the root cause / corrective action vehicle and GM had us factory order a new '17 of our choosing.
We looked at the Admiral Blue and it just didn't do it for us. Wasn't nearly as vibrant as the Laguna Blue. REALLY missed the Laguna Blue. In the end, we went with Arctic White with red interior GS 3LT.
Every time my wife sees a Laguna Blue she has to comment on how much she misses our Laguna Blue........ either blue, I would do chrome wheels, as we had on our '16. With the white car, we did black wheels. Would not prefer them on a blue car.
