Default *Heavy on pics~Old B/W Vette ads+Delivery thread 9/24/17-Mike Furman at Criswell*

~The answer is October and the Question is when can I order the new 2018 Corvette color Sebring Orange Tintcoat. Word is that the new Paint Facility in Bowling Green, KY will start producing Sebring Orange Corvettes in December. I started placing Sold orders two weeks ago when I received 2018 Corvette allocations and next month the color chart will include the new Orange. My prediction that this coming year for the Corvette World is only just beginning, get ready and fasten your seat belts my Corvette enthusiast friends. Remember to ask for me at Criswell Chevrolet, my desk direct line is 301-212-4420.

~My regular Sunday post will skip next Sunday...because this Saturday the 30th of Sept I fly out to join 20 of my Corvette customers at Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada for the 2nd Annual Furman Corvette driving school experience. I will be out of the office Sept 30th-Oct 4th.

------------------------
~Spotlight Delivery...

*Xavier S. of McLean, VA buys Porsches normally but he heard about me on the YouTube channel Streetspeed 717 and figured he would make an appt. to see what I'm all about. One quick 7spd test drive literally sold him and then it was about which of the 140 Corvettes in stock did he want. Xavier chose a 2018 Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic Grand Sport Cpe with Black interior, 7 Spd manual trans, J57 Ceramic Brake rotors, machine faced wheels, Navigation with PDR and 2LT Pkg. Look for this Corvette around Northern VA!! Xavier's very first Corvette. This Army man will thoroughly enjoy it on a daily basis.

~Other deliveries that left the yard...

Chris from Callaway stopped by...with the Callaway Aerowagen.

~The Frank Class Corvette throwback section...today will feature only Black and White pics...mainly ads...post up which one is your favorite and why. Frank used to call me on Mondays and tell me which photo he chose.

~Now go drive your Corvette!

~Have a great two weeks...my regular Sunday morning post will return October 8th.

Another great Sunday thread Mike, thanks! Quick question for you, last week you mentioned that you had a hunch that production wasn't going to restart until November 20th, even though the semi official restart date was supposed to be November 1st. Do you have any further info on that? Do you know why they are delaying it by an extra three weeks?

*Nov 1st was the date that GM stated 4-5 months ago as the official re start up date...any time you predict that far in advance it is always a moving target. I still say, just my educated guess that Nov 20th looks most likely...but once again, it's just my educated guess.

Mike - yes, out of the hospital with hip fracture, getting better. Sure is nice to get up on Sunday morning and see your post while having a cup of coffee and some cookies. Almost two months since the fall - and I am able to get back into the Vette - no long drives but feels good to be able to get into it again!

Thanks for the thread and making ordering a new vette so easy. I've got to quit looking at Corvette Forum so frequently - it's going to make the wait seems worse....

Peace,
Don

Thanks Mike for another week of great photos............

congrats. to all the new owners that took delivery this past week.....

on the black & whites, there were 3 dealers here in my area represented..........

some still in business, Fox and Merollis Chevrolet, but Shalla has been gone for many years..........

Jerry's Chevrolet may be the one in SD????? If so, I have visited them during a road trip this past summer for the Black Hills Corvette Classic

Have a great time during your upcoming trip, and keep the tires planted on the ground............

Great group of photos Mike....love all those dealership photos......I used to go by the Joe Holland Chevy dealership on MacCorkle Ave in South Charleston, WV....he pretty much always had a Corvette in the showroom window. Thanks for an awesome group of photos this week. Have a great week out at Spring Mountain.

Home run Mike, I love the old black, and white. Probably 'cause I see me in so many of those kids dressed in 70's cloths.
